Top 9 New Year’s Eve Festivals of 2019!

NYE Festivals Are Coming Up Fast!

With Thanksgiving finally over, many of you may be wondering how to end your 2019 year and where to ring in the New Year this year. Nowadays it seems like there are more and more options when it comes to NYE festivals and it can be a little overwhelming at times. The Festival Voice has you covered with our definitive list of the top 9 festivals this New Year’s Eve!

#1 Decadence Colorado

Topping off our list is one of our favorite multi-day festivals: Decadence Colorado presented by Global Dance. Every year on December 30th and 31st nearly 40,000 people from all around the country flock to the Bass Capital to watch the ball drop while listening to their favorite artists and raging their hearts away into the new year. This year marks the 9th installment of the Denver staple festival, and every year just keeps getting better and better. Held at the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver, CO, Decadence is the largest indoor EDM festival in the country. With 40-foot tall ceilings, indoor waiting lines, world-class artists, top-notch lights and sound, the name Decadence could not be more perfect for this festival. This is a NYE festival that sells out every single year so make sure you grab your tickets before they sell out HERE!

#2 Lights All Night (LAN)

Number 2 on our list is Texas’s longest-running EDM festival, Lights All Night who is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this year on December 27th and 28th. For the past 9 years, LAN has been bringing us the best in lights, music, food, and overall festival experience that Texas has to offer! Last year they added a fully immersive art inspired lounge from Dallas’ own Sweet Tooth Hotel and they partnered up with DreamHack, a video game festival, to bring an exclusive 50 person freeplay game lounge. This year they are pulling out all the stops for their birthday celebration with an out of this world lineup, more lights and lasers than ever before, more one of a kind artwork, and a few other surprises in store for us! LAN always holds its NYE festivals on the Friday and Saturday before New Year’s Eve to accommodate those who have to work Mon-Fri and don’t get New Years off. It also makes it convenient for festie junkies like us who can’t decide on just one festival for NYE. LAN brings more than 30,000 people from all over the country and has sold out the last several years. Make sure you don’t miss out on all the fun and grab your tickets HERE!

#3 SnowGlobe

Coming in at number 3 on our list is SnowGlobe presented by none other than MTV. This is the only 3-day music festival on our list going from December 29th-31st and it draws more than 20,000 people to beautiful Lake Tahoe, CA. If you can handle being outside in the cold for a 3-day music festival dancing your heart away in the snow, then you are in for a treat! The major advantage of SnowGlobe over other NYE festivals is that you are already in the middle of some of the best snowboarding in the country and you can hit the slopes before or after the festival! This is great news if you are an avid skier or snowboarder like we are at TFV. SnowGlobe has consistently brought us lineups that are stacked beyond reason, and this year is no different. With artists like Fisher, Gigantic Nghtmre, Griz, Louis The Child, Tchami b2b Malaa, and Skilllex dropping the ball, it’s sure to be festival for the books! Make sure to grab your tickets HERE before they sell out!

#4 Countdown NYE

Number 4 on our list is Insomniac Events’ Countdown NYE held at the NOS Event Center in San Bernadino, CA on December 31st. Even though Countdown hasn’t been a multi-day festival the last 2 years, it still makes our list of NYE festivals as Southern California’s premier dance event with their alien invasion theme featuring 5 out of this world stage designs, a lineup that’s otherworldly, and art installations from all around the galaxy. All with the production quality that we all know and love from Insomniac, making this one of our top NYE events of 2019! Do you think that you’re ready to hop on the UFO and let the aliens take you away? Then get your tickets for Countdown HERE and take a trip out of this world!

#5 Decadence Arizona

Next on our list is Decadence Arizona presented by Relentless Beats and Global Dance at the Rawhide Event Center in Pheonix, AZ. This 2-day festival on December 30th and 31st has continuously grown since their inception back in 2014 by adding more stages and even adding carnival rides last year. Relentless Beats listens to their patron’s concerns and they are implementing some changes this year including entrances, expanded dance floors throughout, more water stations, more heated areas, and much more! One of our favorite things about every Relentless Beats event is the Relentless Rangers who are there to make your experience is the BEST that it can possibly be. Be prepared for the cold though, because there are outdoor stages and even Arizona gets really cold during NYE night. Secure your tickets HERE before there are no more left!

#6 Snowta

Taking the number 6 spot on our list is Snowta presented by Armory in Minneapolis, MN on December 30th and 31st. The Armory is a historic venue that has been used since the 1930s for concerts, civic events, political conventions, and sporting events. This year marks the third installment of the midwest’s favorite NYE festival. While this year’s lineup isn’t as stacked as last year’s, it just means that they have probably put more money into the experience. Snowta has always tried to bring a unique experience for its fans including laser tag in 2017, an indoor skate park, and even converted the underground parking below the Armory into two more stages. Snowta is definitely one of the top NYE parties of 2019 and not one to miss if you are in the Midwest! Make sure to grab your tickets HERE before they sell out!

#7 HiJinx

Coming in at lucky number 7 is Hijinx Festival presented by Live Nation held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in downtown Philadelphia, PA on December 27th and 28th. This is the second year of this East Coast NYE party at the 1 million square foot convention center that spans four city blocks. Last year they had incredible art installations including inverted pyramids, a giant octopus, multi-eyed creatures, ariel performers, and amazing visuals and lasers to go with it all making it an amazing experience overall. While the first year had a couple of hiccups according to a few reports, Live Nation is very good about fixing these kinds of issues to make it an experience you won’t ever forget! Get your tickets HERE before they are all gone!

#8 OMFG!

Up next at number 8 is OMFG! brought to us by LED Presents and held at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, CA on December 30th and 31st. This is the largest indoor NYE party in Southern California which makes it really nice if you don’t like the cold temperatures that you would have to deal with at Audiotistic or Countdown. Even Cali can get cold in December and the Pechanga Arena features a pit area as well as stadium seating so you can rest and take a break when you need to. Many people like the fact that there is only one stage because they don’t have any schedule conflicts, and can see all the artists that are playing. LED Presents is well known throughout the west coast for putting on phenomenal shows and OMFG! is no different. Make sure you secure your tickets HERE and rage your heart away to their sick lineup!

#9 Audiotistic

Rounding off our list and taking the #9 spot is another Insomniac event, Audiotistic SoCal. Audiotistic is a smaller single-day event held at the NOS Event Center just like Countdown, but it’s on the Saturday before NYE to accommodate those who have to work during NYE or going to other NYE festivals. While Audiotistic is nowhere near as big as Countdown, it is still going to be one hell of a party! With two stages and artists like AC Slater, Anna Lunoe, Bijou, Blanke, Getter, Nghtmre, and so many more, there’s something for everyone. And you already know that Insomniac always puts their all into every event they throw and always have top-notch production quality. This is definitely one that you don’t want to miss if you are in the SoCal area! You can get your tickets HERE.
