What A Trip! North Coast 2026 Delivered!
I love North Coast. I’m not joking; it’s one of the best festivals around! I have attended for the past few years and am honestly looking forward to next year already. The exception was last summer, when I had a broken ankle, so I wasn’t able to attend. But anyway, what a fantastic weekend!
Friday, we took our time getting there because of the heat. It was way too hot, and I had to do a half day at work anyway, so we didn’t arrive until nearly dusk. I was bummed that I had missed some artists that I wanted to see, but even without the heat, it wouldn’t have been much faster for me to get there earlier.
Anyway, we started off with Level Up and began with headbanging! I was hungry shortly into this, which was one of my big mistakes. I am gluten intolerant, but typically, festivals have options that work for me. I will admit that I only visited the food court behind The Shipyard, but I didn’t find many options. I ended up going with an acai bowl, which was delicious, but honestly, besides a salad, that was the only thing I found. I made sure to eat the other nights before entering for my own sake. I will say, security was nice and let me bring a few snacks in when I explained my digestive issues. Ugh- to eat gluten… would be so nice!
We then went to The Shipyard for Dabin. I am a huge fan of Dabin. We chilled in the back during his set, and I ate my bowl. We only caught the tail end, so I didn’t get to actually dance during this time, but it was still a vibe! We stayed for Porter Robinson and had so much fun for about half the set until we ended up at Levity b2b Tape B. EPIC.
Neither of us personally wanted to see FISHER, so we decided to head out. I always tend to leave a little bit early so I don’t get caught in traffic.
And here we are to Saturday!!!
We were there a lot earlier today, so we were in the venue fairly early. We decided to spend some time exploring and made some friends! I honestly don’t know who we saw at first because I wasn’t checking the lineup and was just following the vibe. That’s one of my favorite things about festivals. I can share my top artists… but I don’t get upset if I’m just chasing a vibe! Festivals have so much to do and discover. If I spent the entire time chained to my lineup, I wouldn’t have found so many new artists, made so many new friends, and just… lived. Festivals make me come alive.
I finally came to ARMNHMR at 7. One of my favorite artists and one for the ages. Seriously. I love the melodic dub.
I lost my friends for a while, but let’s be real, with signal, checking our phones, and just… a festival? Who hasn’t this happened to? I made some friends and just kept chilling at Mersiv while getting spotty texts and calls from my friends. Festivals, am I right?
Finally, I heard that my squad was going to Ganga White Night and my new friends were also headed there, so perfect, right? We headed there, and we planned to meet up at a specific bleacher section, and hooray! Lost Savannah had been found!
Sadly, my new friends wanted to go deep into the crowd for Ganja, and that’s just not my scene… or my crew’s. So we ended up at the back of the crowd vibing. And then GRiZ! We decided to take a temporary siesta in the stands before ending the night at GRiZ!
I will be honest, I never stay for the full headliner set because of traffic and the crowd. It’s better to leave a little early to get out quickly.
And then Sunday! I was so psyched and ready for the BEST lineup of the weekend. As my boyfriend and I were getting ready, we got a text from a family member… his mom has stage 4 cancer and was in critical condition. We chose saying goodbye over Sunday at North Coast. She is still here, and it seems like she will pull through…. But this was still worth it for us.
I heard from my crew; it was amazing! I’m bummed I missed the lineup (Illenium b2b Slander??) and Gryffin???? Would have been fire.
But you know what? I’m not sad about it. A little bummed, but I know we made the right decision for us.
Anyway, if you need your sign to go to North Coast, here it is!!! Killer lineup. Tons of immersive things to do. So much. I plan to make the trek again next year! See you all soon!
