Aftershock 2025 Lineup Sends Tremors Through California
Aftershock announces its 2025 lineup in anticipation for the festival’s lucky 13th return to Discovery Park in Sacramento, California, October 2 – 5, 2025. Aftershock 2025 will feature 115+ bands on 4 stages over the four-day festival weekend. The West Coast’s Largest Rock, Punk & Metal Festival has released a nostalgic lineup of legendary acts the fans cannot wait to indulge in.
Across its 12-year reign as the West Coast’s biggest rock, punk and metal festival, Aftershock has hosted countless iconic bands. This year’s lineup is a legendary reunion of stars and rare performances, perfect for California fans.
“Year after year, we’ve broken attendance records, and this one is set to be the biggest yet. Trust me, you don’t want to miss it. I hope to see you there.” Danny Wimmer, DWP
Over a decade ago, Aftershock began as a one-day event at Discovery Park, Sacramento. 15 years later, the renowned festival is returning with the band that headlined the first Aftershock in 2012, Deftones. I attended Aftershock 2024 and I was able to experience GA and VIP areas of the festival. In my experience, VIP can be worth it for those looking to escape the massive crowds and want to secure a chill area to view the festival. Placed between the two mainstages, Shockwave and Jack Daniels, the VIP area has a decent view of the headliners as well as a screen to view the acts from the seating area.
However, I spent most of my time outside of VIP. As great as it is to take breaks during the long weekend, the party in the middle of the crowd is why we’re all there. The flipping set times disperse the crowds from one stage to another all day long. This makes it pretty easy to consistently get good spots in the crowd for each act. And for those who don’t want to join the shoulder to shoulder dance party at the rail, there is tons of lawn space at the back of the crowd. Although VIP definitely provides more consistent shade, it can also be found in the GA areas.
This year will be the debut of the Aftershock 4-Day Capital Club SVIP, perks include:
- Elevated Main Stage Viewing Platform
- Exclusive Air-Conditioned Lounge
- Exclusive Credentials

- Daily Re-Entry Privileges
