Artist Biography

Louis the Child is an EDM duo that blends catchy pop with very danceable beats. The pair, Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett, went to the same high school in Illinois but never met while in high school. They both had their own music projects. Robby was a turntable DJ under the name Haul Pass. Freddy produced music under the name Fatboy. They finally met in 2012 at a Madeon show where they joined forces to create what we know as Louis the Child. This was when both were just finishing high school. Their debut EP Dimensions along with a series of hot singles including “It’s Strange” with K.Flay helped propel the duo to mainstream success with sold-out shows and festival appearances. Then it all came full circle when they got to join Madeon on stage as his opening act. Louis the Child released their debut LP Here for Now in 2020 which was packed with U.S. Dance Top 30 hits “Free”, “Every Color”, and “Little Things.” The album had a stack of collaborations including Drew Love, Foster the People, Chelsea Cutler, Quinn XCII, EarthGang, K.Flay, and Bob Moses. Now we get to see their magic on full display on the Farm.
