Bonnaroo Releases A Stellar 2024 Lineup
As the new year begins, a new Bonnaroo lineup has been gifted to the masses. Since my first camping festival 10 years ago, Roo has become my favorite festival and takes my attention each spring with the Artist of the Day series. This will be the fourth consecutive year I have done the series. The release of the Bonnaroo lineup signals the start of my planning for the series, and this year the lineup is dressed to impress from head to toe. The headliners of Pretty Lights, Post Malone, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Fred Again.. bring a broad diversity of jam, R&B, rock, and EDM atop a solid foundation of an undercard. And something to note is the Bonnaroo will be the only 2024 U.S. festival appearance by Fred Again…
Aside from the lineup, we know two other big things about Roo this year. The SuperJam will be spearheaded by Dashboard Confessional as an emo-pop throwback. The SuperJam is an ensemble of musicians that play covers usually directed by a single artist or band. In previous years, the SuperJam hasn’t been announced until later in the spring, so getting it with the lineup release is a gift. We will get our own When We Were Young experience on the Farm. In addition to this announcement, Pretty Lights will be headlining Thursday on the What Stage, the first time this stage has been open on Thursday in the history of Bonnaroo. My guess is there will be a drone show to accompany the performance, which is overkill considering we also get a Pretty Lights sunrise set Saturday morning. I am excited to share in this historic Pretty Lights show with y’all on the Farm!
Tickets and camping were first made available late last year in a loyalty presale. Thursday, January 11th is when the general presale starts with the public on-sale following if tickets remain available. No single-day tickets are available this year, only 4-day tickets for Thursday to Sunday. Ticket types of GA, GA+, VIP, and Platinum can be mixed and matched with camping types, something that is slightly different from years past. For example, you can have a VIP ticket but camp in GA camping. Various camping options are available for this festival, from basic DIY car camping to premium wood frame Safari Tents provided by the festival. The more premium experiences typically sell out first, so if you are looking to pay for an elevated Roo this year be sure to buy sooner rather than later.
I am looking forward to sharing the lineup with y’all in the months to come. I hope to see your smiling faces on the Farm this June!
