Dancing into 2025 @ Decadence AZ
Decadence was pure magic- an electrifying, unforgettable experience that somehow gets better every single year. I can’t believe this was my fifth year in a row! Every time, the energy, the music, and the production go up another level, and this year was no exception. From insane visuals to a perfect lineup, it felt like a dream from start to finish.
Night one kicked off in the best way possible, with a party bus full of friends, good vibes, and the excitement of knowing we were about to have the time of our lives. The first set we caught was Eli & Fur, a duo I had never seen live before. They set the perfect vibe for the night with their deep house sound. It reminded me of sets I saw in Ibiza this Summer very chill, yet driven by a strong bass-line that kept us moving.
We ended up finding an amazing spot at Royal Ballroom and decided to stay front and center for Wooli, which turned out to be the best decision of the night. His set was hands down the best dubstep of the entire festival! He dropped some insane tracks that had our whole squad head-banging, and the visuals were unreal. My favorite was the Toy Story-themed visual, where the Wooli mammoth stuffed animal fought the toy soldiers and Rex. The whole set was just pure energy, and we were seriously impressed by the side stage upgrade this year!
After Wooli, we headed to the main stage (Grand Palace) to secure a good spot for Dom Dolla. On our way to the set, we decided to take a break and sit in the back of the big tent stage, letting ourselves fully soak in the lasers and music. It was a special moment because my friends had flown in from California, and since I don’t get to see them often, it felt amazing to just sit together, take it all in, and appreciate the experience. For a little while, we just enjoyed the atmosphere before getting up and diving into the energy of Dom Dolla’s set. The crowd went absolutely wild when he played the “Stephanie” HNTR remix, it was a moment I’ll never forget and won’t stop thinking about until that song gets released!
We ended night one with Excision, and I think this was my eighth time seeing him. My absolute favorite part was when he put the Chihuahua on the screen saying “Yo quiero Taco Bell”, I completely lost it! It was the perfect way to close out an insane first night.
Day two- New Year’s Eve!! We made it to the raceway right when doors opened (6 PM) and headed straight to VIP to get our hair braided by the one and only Azbraidbitch. We took some super cute videos and spent time with Tyneija, who is the founder of Azbraidbitch and the head of Glamour Garden- the beauty boutique at all Relentless Beats shows! Definitely check her out for all your future rave beauty needs and glam!
Then, it was time for Zeds Dead. They threw down an incredible set, and of course, they played my all-time favorite song, “Ecstasy of the Soul” which makes the crowd go wild every time. Head-banging with my best friend, Hannah- made this set even more perfect to start out the last night of 2024. Thankfully we had already decided to stay at main stage until after John Summit, and that was definitely the right move. Up next was Mau P, bringing super sexy house vibes. I loved the tech house he played, and of course, the highlight was hearing “Drugs from Amsterdam” live. Then came Dr. Fresch b2b Bijou, and their set was very high energy. It was the perfect way to get the crowd ready and amped up for John Summit. Even though this night was full of so many highlights for me, the absolute best moment of the festival had to of been….
The ball drop during John Summit at Decadence was just <3
Surrounded by people I love, listening to incredible music, and stepping into a brand new year, it truly doesn’t get better than that. I feel so blessed to have started 2025 as the happiest I’ve ever been. This is why I love festivals. The memories, the music, the people. The feeling of being in a space where everyone is connected by love and energy, it’s euphoric. I would do anything to go back to that moment.
Decadence, I can’t thank you enough for creating such a beautiful, welcoming space where we made memories that will last a lifetime. Here’s to starting 2025 in the best way possible! Happy New Year ravers!! Love you all and see you at the next festival 🙂 Hope to see you at Decadence again next year!
