DecaDANCE Into 2025: A New Year’s Celebration Like No Other!

Decadence? More like DecaDANCE! if you didn’t have the pleasure of dancing your way out of 2024 and into 2025 at Decadence CO let me fill you in! There was something for everyone there. From the euphoric vibes of Elderbrook to the aggressive wubs from Excision, Decadence’s artists did not disappoint!

The staff that was helping put on this two-day event were all very well informed and were able to provide direction and answer any questions. This festival was very well organized logistically and allowed for easy navigation and the security lines were very manageable.

Once I entered into the event center I was transported into a world of lasers and incredible music! The different light art installations were scattered throughout the venue which helped further immerse me into the futuristic world that Decadence creates. One of my favorite things about festivals, aside from the music, is the fashion and let me tell you the Citizens of Decadence did NOT disappoint!

Now let’s talk about what you really want to know: the music! This year’s lineup was a solid 10/10. William Black and Wax Motif brought the tunes that made me want to dance nonstop! I was able to split time between Wax Motif and Excision and that was an experience in itself! Excision of course made me head-bang so I hard that when I was leaving his set I could already feel the soreness in my neck where as Wax Motif’s set made me wish I knew how to shuffle. Seven Lions, as always, brought his magic to the stage, effortlessly transitioning between songs and telling a beautiful story through his music. Moving into night two, the energy on New Year’s Eve was absolutely electric. Apashe, a 10+ year veteran DJ, set the bar high with his one-of-a-kind atmosphere. Subtronics had us headbanging into 2025 with a mix of classics and fresh drops. Closing out the night was the incredible Illenium b2b Slander, who kept the energy high and made me wish the night would never end.

Overall, Decadence was an incredible experience! My only suggestion would be regarding the scheduling. Since Decadence takes place in the bass capital of the country, it might have been more effective to schedule two bass DJs at the same time to help distribute the crowd, rather than pairing a bass DJ with a house DJ. While the venue is spacious and the stages can handle large crowds, there were moments when most of the attendees gathered at one stage, leading to overcrowding. Addressing this could enhance the overall festival experience.

Decadence, as always, exceeded expectations. From the positive energy and incredible music to the nonstop dancing, it was by far the best way to start 2025. If you’re looking for the ultimate New Year’s celebration, I couldn’t recommend Decadence enough! Get ready to DecaDANCE at next year’s event!
