Experiencing LSDREAM’s R.A.V.E Tour

If you know me, then you know how much LSDREAM and his music mean to me. From the first set I saw from him at Hard Summer 2022, I was hooked. His message of peace and love and using his music to raise the vibrations of the whole crowd is something so special to me. Every time I see a set from him I’m blown away- he never fails to impress and leave everyone on a high, riding that cosmic wave of energy that he gives off.

I recently went to his R.A.V.E (short for Radical Audio Visual Experience) Tour in Phoenix. The venue was a much smaller and intimate setting compared to what I’m used to seeing him at as it’s typically been at festivals like Lost Lands, Decadence, and Hard Summer. To be honest, I was skeptical about the venue at first, but it was so special to be in that energy because every single person was boppin’ around and vibing so hard with the music, and it felt like Sami was right there with us just enjoying the ride. He opened with his remix of “Pure Imagination”, which set an amazing tone and vibe for what the rest of the show would be like. I had chills pretty much the whole set from beginning to end. He also dropped a new song of his called “Paradox” and seeing that live for the first time was so memorable and such a beautiful
moment. I quite literally am waiting every day for him to release it.

Another special thing that Sami does at all of his shows is take some time to be present and in the moment. While his song “Ace of Cups” is playing, he displays on the screen a bunch of tweets from when he asked people to respond with one thing they wish they could tell their younger self. The tweets consist of things like “keep going”, “you can do this, you are loved, you are strong, and you are enough”, “it’s okay to be sad”, “this too shall pass”, “it’ll be okay, just enjoy the ride”, and many other beautiful things that people said. Every single time Sami does this at his shows, without fail, I cry- and this time was no exception. It just allows me to remember and feel my emotions, and as his song “Ace of Cups” says, “Emotion is the key to all of this. As human beings you need emotion to connect with your spiritual self”. Sami reminded me that it’s okay to feel and be emotional and it’s key to your growth as a human.

Another moment from the show that I will always remember and hold dear to my heart is when I got to meet Sami and hug him. The show had just ended so my friends and I were dancing around together and soaking in the moment, talking about how unreal that set we just saw was. Then, all of a sudden we see Sami come out to the front rail. I immediately was filled with so much excitement thinking to myself, am I about to meet him?! We walk over and he’s being so nice to everyone, he is thanking each person at the rail for coming and taking his time to hug and have a conversation with each individual. I’m patiently waiting for my turn and when he gets to me I can’t help myself from crying and all I can say is, “Can I just give you a hug?” He gave me the biggest hug and when we took a picture together he said, “It’s okay we can cry together”. I am usually not the type to get flustered and just cry if I see an artist I like, but LSDREAM is so special to me, and just being around his energy I couldn’t help it. He was such a dope person and I’m so thankful I got to meet him!

All in all, the R.A.V.E Tour was one of my favorite shows that I was lucky enough to experience, and I truly hope everyone reading this can experience an LSDREAM set at least once in their life. Thank you Sami for bringing these types of experiences to people, and I can’t wait for the next set of his I get to see.
