Governors Ball 2025 A 15th Anniversary Extravaganza
Set against the vibrant backdrop of New York City, The Governors Ball returned this past weekend for 2025, its 15th anniversary. From June 6th to 8th, Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens transformed into the perfect hub of music, art, and culinary, promising an unforgettable weekend for attendees. The Governors Ball will showcase a diverse array of over 60 artists across three stages, encompassing genres from indie rock and hip-hop to electronic and pop, ensuring there’s something for every musical taste. Gov Ball 2025 is poised to deliver a truly immersive and electrifying celebration of music and culture in the heart of the Big Apple.

Headliners
This year’s star-studded lineup featured headlining acts such as the innovative Tyler, the Creator, pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo, and GRAMMY-nominated Irish singer-songwriter Hozier. Tyler, The Creator set the perfect tone for the weekend on Friday with a high energy performance on the iconic green Chromakotopia shipping container. His set was full of older tracks for longtime fans and newer releases Olivia Rodrigo delivered an impressive performance complete with an outfit change and special guest David Byrne, the legendary frontman of Talking Heads. Finally Hozier closed the festival out on Sunday with a powerful performance featuring tracks “Take Me to Church” “Too Sweet.”
The Lineup
The Governors Ball’s eclectic lineup was exciting to experience. This year’s lineup featured so many exciting acts. Some of my favorite performances included Role Model’s Friday evening performance full of feel good songs and a surprise from Conan Grey. Later that day Benson Boone put on a stellar performance that truly showcased his impressive stage presence and vocal ability. MARINA’s Saturday’s performance featured iconic songs that we all know and love and was topped off with some of her latest releases. Wallows’ performance was an unforgettable one as it started pouring half way through their set making it a core memory straight out of a movie. Finally I was ecstatic to see the Latin acts featured on the lineup. On Saturday, Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko took the stage followed by a high energy set from Colombian rapper Feid.
Beyond The Music
The Governors Ball went beyond the music with various vendors, activations and Instagram worthy photo ops. My favorites included Lady Liberty and the Gov Ball sign with a perfect view of the unisphere. Many photo ops were interactive and unique. Beverage sponsors Dunkin Donuts, Peace Tea, Red Bull, and Slurpee kept attendees refreshed. Clothing sponsors Pacsun and American Apparel also featured fun experiences for guests.
Overall, The Governors Ball 2025 was an unforgettable celebration of music, art, and culture. From the incredible headlining acts to the diverse lineup and immersive experiences, it truly solidified its place as a cornerstone of the New York City festival scene. Attendees left with lasting memories and a renewed appreciation for the vibrant energy that only Gov Ball can deliver.
