GRiZ Says Goodbye With Ursa Major
If you’re an electronic fan, you know the GRiZ has announced he is saying goodbye, for now. He’s taking a break from music and as a result, he has announced his new boutique curated event ‘Ursa Major’, taking place at Pepsi Amphitheater in Fort Tuthill County Park in Flagstaff, Arizona from September 22-24. ‘Ursa Major’ will serve as GRiZ’s final curated event ahead of his upcoming hiatus. GRiZ has developed a devoted fanbase over the years and this event will be a great edition. This will be three days of love, joy, and happiness in Flagstaff, a city known as having a dark sky. ‘Ursa Major’ is the latest to join GRiZ’s lineup of celestial-themed curated events, coexisting alongside ‘Space Camp’ and ‘Another World’.
I want to let you know up front that this event will have a limited capacity, so make sure you grab those tickets ASAP! There will be an array of programming that aligns with the multi-faceted GRiZ ethos. In addition to the music, fans will be encouraged to explore workshops, art installations, and camp under the stars and amidst the trees of the lush Fort Tuthill County Park in the Coconino National Forest.
Throughout the weekend, fans will indulge in a trio of headline performances from GRiZ, with each night offering a different flavor of GRiZ’s diverse catalog. A paramount event with over a dozen opening acts, GRiZ has curated an intentional supporting lineup filled with idyllic vibes that align with the kaleidoscopic universe he’s created with his live events. This event will be one for the ages, I might have said that already, but I mean it, ya know? This event encompasses the whimsical spirit of GRiZ’s live events past and present, the ‘Ursa Major’ lineup features familiar faces like experimental dubstep DJ Black Carl! and organic bass producer Of The Trees, as well as newcomers like house artist Never Dull, electro-hop beatmaker Motifv, and multi-instrumental up-and-comer McWavy.
A new sonic experience each night, ‘Ursa Major’ will take fans on a cosmic genre-blending journey leading up to GRiZ’s headline sets. From the funky stylings of acts like Denver-based jam band Sunsquabi and house DJ Justin Jay, to the melodic offerings of Chicago-based creator Inzo, electro-soul producer Daily Bread, and female spiritual bass artist Zen Selekta, ‘Ursa Major’ will provide a transcendent listening experience for its guests. ‘Ursa Major’ will also explore the bass-heavy sounds of glitch-hop producer Opiuo, psychedelic beatmaker LUZCID, and Detroit-based music maker Freddy Todd, along with a special B2B set from parkbreezy and Thought Process.
Each of GRiZ’s unique live events offers an immersive wonderland for his fans to explore and gather, straight from his own imagination to stages across America. We enjoyed the galactic adventure of ‘Space Camp’ and the hypnotizing in the round design of ‘Another World’. GRiZ’s fantasies have come to life time and time again. Onwards to the annual charitable triumph of ‘GRiZMAS’, and first foray into camping experiences with ‘Triple Rainbow’, GRiZ has built a reputation for the magical and uplifting spaces he’s created for his fans.
