HARD Summer 2024 Is Upgrading!

Hard Summer is one of Insomniac’s most notable festivals, and it seems to improve yearly. While it was hosted last year across from the USC campus, this year, it will take place at Inglewood’s Hollywood Park adjacent to SoFi Stadium.

With great help from social media promotions, the festival has improved its aesthetics yearly, decreasing the stress for the ravers attending. For example, it has moved away from the NOS event center of San Bernandino and into the heart of Los Angeles; Insomniac is partnering with local vendors and nightclubs for official afterparties.

HARD has teamed up with a slew of Inglewood and Greater Los Angeles’ favorite food vendors to present the ultimate foodie pregame. Each product will be available at its corresponding store from July 23 to August 5. Partners include Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles, Sunday Gravy, Carnitas El Artista, Randy’s Donuts, Sweet Red Peach, Prince Street Pizza, Tatsu Ramen, Canter’s Deli, Fat Sal’s, The Bigg Chill, and Ubatuba Açaí.

Attendees can find information on pre-and post-party tickets here. Tickets seem relatively inexpensive, but as the festival gets closer, prices will be sure to skyrocket.

Here’s what we think are the top sets to see when attending this year’s HARD Summer!

Reflecting on HARD Summer 2023

Last year, parking was handled with help from the USC parking structures, which were easy to pay, and security was consistently around. We are hoping for more of the same this year!

The venue was a lot of walking since it has increased in size compared to the NOS venue, which took place in 2022. Many complained about the walking range since women’s rave wear typically consists of wearing demonias (a chunky platform boot), but on the bright side, there was no sound clash! Expect the same amount of walking this year!

Insomniac kept the festival calm while remaining water-conscious by having misters in common walking areas.

There were free popsicles that were given out at a specific time at the festival, which you knew about if you kept up to date on their Instagram page. If you missed out on the free popsicles, vendors walked around with different assortments for you to buy!

If you were a new festival attendee and weren’t sure whether or not EDM was the genre for you, there were artists like 21 Savage performing and Kid Cudi! HARD is known to bring different artists, not only EDM artists, so it brings in a variety of music enjoyers.

Bring your hydration pack and perhaps a cooling towel to ensure you can stay cool and create a memorable time with those around you!
