Returning to the scene of last year’s epic debut, Sick New World 2024 is broadening its musical spectrum, embracing a diverse range of rock and metal acts. Departing from the heavy nu-metal focus of the previous year, this edition guarantees a more expansive and eclectic showcase.

The festival’s diverse roster promises a day filled with genre-defying performances, ensuring an unforgettable experience for every music enthusiast.

Sick New World 2023 marked System of a Down’s sole performance for the year, and 2024’s festival stands as their only confirmed show for the upcoming year. A Perfect Circle, making their return since 2018, and Slipknot, with their sole confirmed show for 2024, are set to deliver monumental sets, heightening the anticipation for this year’s edition.

Formed in 1994 in Los Angeles, California, the band consists of Serj Tankian (vocals, keyboards), Daron Malakian (guitar, vocals), Shavo Odadjian (bass, backing vocals), and John Dolmayan (drums). Renowned for their politically charged lyrics, unconventional song structures, and energetic performances, System of a Down gained widespread recognition with albums like “Toxicity” and “Mezmerize/Hypnotize.” Despite a hiatus, their impact on the alternative metal scene remains significant.

Slipknot: Slipknot is an American heavy metal band recognized for their aggressive sound, masked personas, and chaotic live performances. Formed in 1995 in Des Moines, Iowa, Slipknot’s lineup includes nine members, each identified by a unique mask. The band’s core members are percussionist Shawn Crahan, drummer Jay Weinberg, and percussionist Chris Fehn. Their self-titled debut album in 1999 catapulted them to mainstream success, blending elements of nu-metal and industrial music. A Perfect Circle: A Perfect Circle is an American rock supergroup formed in 1999 by guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool’s vocalist Maynard James Keenan. With a rotating lineup, the band’s early members included Paz Lenchantin, Troy Van Leeuwen, and Josh Freese. Despite intermittent hiatuses, the band has maintained a loyal fan base, eagerly anticipating each new release.

Formed in 2010, the group initially consisted of Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-metal), Yui Mizuno (Yuimetal), and Moa Kikuchi (Moametal). Combining catchy melodies with powerful metal instrumentation, BABYMETAL quickly gained international attention.
