It’s An Apocalypse!

Didn’t make it to Bass Canyon or Lost Lands this year? Southern California is hosting a festival similar to those two this November post-Thanksgiving on the 24th and 25th of November. Hosting its first-ever Zombieland-themed event, Insomniac brings to you Apocalypse: Zombie Land. Headliners Diesel, Excision (with two sets), Sullivan King, Wooli, Zomboy, and many more will create memories for their beloved fanbases. Suppose you know anything about bass head fans. In that case, they will go absolutely CRAZY for their favorite artists wearing limited edition merch, artist’s pashminas, custom perlers. I, alongside the team here at The Festival Voice, will look forward to seeing multiple walls of death during the event and seeing friends, old and new, grabbing their fellow raver’s hand to “headbang in unison” as Hi I’m Ghost states within their song “Death Rail.”

As the months get more relaxed and the wind picks up, it will be interesting to see how some ravers dress to impress while staying warm on the Long Beach, CA, waterfront. Our team will be coming out with local businesses you can support within the EDM scene who show you how to make your clothing unique, share their outfit ideas, and are overall artists within the scene on the festival grounds outside of the music aspect. There are plenty of beautiful people within the EDM and bass scene, so seeing there be a festival within the cooler seasons of the year made to (in my eyes) replicate one like Bass Canyon and Lost Lands leads this writer to believe that there will be outstanding PLUR vibes from those attendees, vendors, and artists. Headbanging and singing lyrics like those from “Name Drop” by Excision and Wooli while looking at the person next to you in the crowd can make this fall and winter season go by in a breeze (literally).

A playlist for this event will be dropping soon from us here at The Festival Voice so you can feel the vibes as to why you should take a break from the yearly black friday shopping and spend a weekend alongside your favorite humans; you never know who you’ll meet and how they’ll impact your life.
