Rhyme So- Poseable

The video, which was partly shot in a capsule hotel in Tokyo, pokes fun at society’s compulsive obsession with digital validity, hopping from one Instagram-worthy pose to another. The visual includes a cameo from Mari Natsuki, the beloved Japanese actress known for her maternal roles in Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away and the Japanese remake of Bewitched. Assuming the role of the tastemaking grandma, Mari embodies the song’s refrain “or grandma sends you home,” an ode to grandma’s unyielding sense of what’s good and what’s not.

The Bots- Girl Problems

Big Indie Records and rock band The Bots are excited to present “Girl Problems,” the second single to be lifted from the Wednesday, September 8 release of 2 Seater, the LA-based outfit’s first full-length offering in seven years. “’Girl Problems’ was inspired by the stories I’d hear from my girlfriends growing up,” said frontman Mikaiah Lei of The Bots. “It’s basically the story of ‘Mean Girls’ and problems young women go through: catty behavior, talking behind one another’s back, etc. It’s all surface reality stuff but it’s something everyone experiences or can relate to.”

Dirtybird

Birdfeed 2.0

For three years, DIRTYBIRD has been hard at work adding the final touches to its new and improved Birdfeed 2.0—its internal social network where the most dedicated of the flock can connect with one another and discover blossoming new talent that leader Claude VonStroke has his eye on. The time has now come for the new and improved platform to take flight, and with the launch comes a brand new Best Of The Birdfeed EP highlighting cuts from artists like Andreas Henneberg, Chambray, Borgez, and more.

2021’s Best Of The Birdfeed offers something for everyone. Tracks like the Andreas Henneberg & Beth Lydi collaboration “Slap Clap,” and Chambray’s “Laurel Em” play around with off-kilter sonics, MADDIMAN’s “Dat Rave Booty” dives into minimal, and bits like Ekoboy’s “People Goin’ Crazy” harken back to the bass-heavy, buoyant sound that DIRTYBIRD has pioneered over its years.

Teenage Sequence- All This Art

Independent Queer/trans label Get Better Records (Control Top, Evan Greer, The HIRS Collective, Lande Hekt) and London-born, British South Asian multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Teenage Sequence are excited to present the music video for “All This Art,” a track that turns a scathing eye on the small indignities and hypocrisies of a music industry that doesn’t want to face its own racial shortcomings. Clocking in at 6:29 of spoken word over a dance beat as bright, tart and cutting as the song’s lyrics, “All This Art” disregards the rules of modern pop and alternative songwriting in favor of brutal honesty and bittersweet fun.

NUZB – Stay By Me & Hot Sauce

NUZB is back on STMPD RCRDS with not one, but two brand new bangers combined in an EP: ‘Stay By Me’ and ‘Hot Sauce’. ‘Stay By Me’ is one of the first tracks he created in 2021 and holds a special place in his heart. The track has a bright, eighties sounding vibe to it. ‘Hot Sauce’ on the other hand is the very opposite and includes darker sounds with ambiance feelings that will elevate your mind into an introspective trip.

NUZB: I listened to my favorite album ever, “Discovery” by Daft Punk, one week before I got the first idea of ‘Stay By Me’. The resampling is very important in my style and I incorporated this vibe to make a unique combination between dance music, 80’s pop culture, future house, and EDM. For ‘Hot Sauce’ I tried to bring back the progressive feel that I used to have on my songs before 2020. It starts with a music box, we involved some of Martin Garrix’s influences here, and the drop delivers an unexpected introspective Reese bass which conducts the dystopic-future I had in mind making that one.

NUZB aims to deliver new and never-before-seen tracks, claiming this decade is the beginning of his Future. RetroFuture.

It’s much more vocal based with an electronic and radio-friendly drop, while also giving that fresh sound to provide everyone with their summer soundtrack. ‘Now Or Never’ comes right after the success of his single ‘Ready Or Not’, which climbed its way to 1001Tracklist most played track for over 4 weeks and is currently still on SiriusXM rotation.

John Roberts- Move It To The Side Alice Longyu Gao Remix

A fan favorite, “Move It To The Side” was originally released earlier this year on John-Robert’s ‘Healthy Baby Boy, Pt 1’ EP. Alice’s “Softboy Dancing In the Klurb Flip” integrates elements of John-Robert’s alluring melancholy-melody with a jacked up tempo and her recognizable, exaggerated pop lyricism. The result is a track unique to Alice’s own personal and flamboyant style, as she serves up her second remixer credit to date. Alice’s new take on the track demonstrates her manifestation of a confident and care-free persona that doesn’t get wound up with anxieties and pressures of the modern dating scene and sees her flip the script on John-Robert’s original.
