Today marks a landmark release from multi-instrumentalist and creative iconoclast Tom Vek, who celebrates 20 years of his cult classic debut album We Have Sound, with the announcement of a 10-track remix album, We Have Sound Remixed, on StrataSonic Records. Set for release later this year, the album features a stacked lineup of artists whose own sonic identities trace back to Vek’s genre-hopping, DIY spirit — including Glass Animals, alt-J, Everything Everything, Baths, Porij, and more.

RAISE YOUR WEAPON x DEATHPIXIE

Walking in the footsteps of the Gorillaz and Hatsune Miku is virtual artist DEATHPIXIE. Over the last year, she has released over 25 tracks independently that have wielded the attention of fans of emerging dance music. Now, as an exciting new project for deadmau5’ label mau5trap, she is forging a genre-bending new lane where worldbuilding meets raw power as heard on “RAISE YOUR WEAPON,” her ‘requiem’ available on all DSPs today, July 11. DEATHPIXIE’s take on deadmau5’ 2010 classic “Raise Your Weapon” leads the charge for her mau5trap debut EP, title TBA, that will be released October 31 with immersive live performances to follow.

Chicago-based duo Teknicoz have teamed up with female emcee Farrah Fawx for a brand new single ‘Never Basic’ out now as part of the Dirtybird’s 20th anniversary. Anthemic from the jump, ‘Never Basic’ is a swagger-heavy cut that will instantly turn heads on the dancefloor. The track bounces into action with thick basslines, edgy percussion, and a saucy vocal performance from Farrah Fawx that leave no room for subtlety. Her sass-laced flow slices through Teknicoz’s thumping production, resulting in a track that’s built to blow out speakers and expectations alike.

Australian producer/DJ Just A Gent is making his debut on HypnoVizion with a brand new single ‘Freak Of Nature’ out now. Teetering on the experimental edge, ‘Freak Of Nature’ is unpredictable and complex. Iconic dance music singer and instrumentalist Kiesza teases her upcoming project with a new single, “So Erotic” ft. Peaches out today, July 11. The new single along with the recent “Stays In Bed” produced by Sammy Virji and Jess Cake, will appear on Dancing and Crying: Vol. 2–a sexy, intimate exploration of female driven house music set for release on July 25. I’m thrilled to share this standout, self-released EP from rising bass artist Steller, titled Here & Now, dropping Wednesday, July 9th. Written during a creative breakthrough after a stretch of personal turbulence, the project blends vivid synthscapes, meditative builds, and emotionally raw wub-fueled drops, capturing both her vulnerability and evolution as a producer.

Structured as a continuous journey, the EP moves from high-energy grit to reflective stillness, closing with the lush and cathartic, ODESZA-inspired, “Eternal Love.” It also ties into her recent partnership with To Write Love On Her Arms, aligning with her mission to use music as a vehicle for presence and mental health awareness.
