Fun For Families Too! LIB 2023
Lightning In a Bottle is the five-day, unforgettable music festival in the Central Valley region of California, taking place from May 24th – May 29th of 2023. While the festival is known for its out-of-this-world lineups, carefully articulated stages and deeply immersive activities, one of my favorite aspects is how family friendly the festival strives to be. With a stage full of music geared towards children, a playground, family crafts and camping, it’s the perfect place to bring the littles! Since having my own son, I look for festivals that are family friendly with a good environment for him, and LIB checks all the boxes perfectly!
A Whole World Of Things To Do!
When it comes to bringing the family along, all ages are welcomed at LIB, they even get discounted entry! Kiddos under 5 are free, ages 6-12 are only $100 and ages 13-16 are only $200. This gets every child access to the whole five days of music, art, interactivity, yoga and movement, workshops, tent camping, kidz zone, and so much more! With it being so affordable, and so inclusive, its a no-brainer that this is the perfect place for families.
I am looking forward to all the kids crafting and activity options. The last year I went, I saw they had crafts like bottle cap necklace workshops and activities like a puppet show for the kids! The curators have something planned for kiddos at every moment around the clock so parents will always have something engaging to do. When the activities die down, and the kiddos are ready to tire for the night, there is a great opportunity for families to join together in the family campsites. While there is a waiting list, I think it is an incredibly opportunity for a less wild crowd at night and neighbors that have similar situations. Along with family camping; car camping, walk-in camping, RV camping and all other options are kid friendly as well, so be sure to explore all the available accommodations!
A Festival Ahead Of The Rest
I have travelled all across the country and gone to festivals in every state for 10 years. Throughout that time, I have seen so many festivals that are not family friendly, however I have also seen so many that are. More often than not, the smaller festivals are the ones that are family friendly, but LIB brings its inclusiveness and grand presentation to an entirely new level. With safe, interactive spaces for all ages, there is something to participate in for every member of the family. Going from attending music festivals alone to attending with children, I have become very picky about which festival I attend for this reason, and I know Lightning in a Bottle is going to provide a fun, safe environment, fully immersive activities and like minded families coming together to create an unforgettable event!
