SG Lewis Releases Coachella Three Hour DJ Set
UK super producer, songwriter and performer SG Lewis has released the DJ set from his surprise Do LaB performance Saturday of Coachella’s Weekend One. Do LaB, creators of Lightning In A Bottle and Coachella’s most immersive stage, has built a strong reputation on the Polo Fields of hosting legendary electronic acts alongside next generation rising stars.

Nikki’s futuristic productions (including live drums and bass) alongside Nala’s dynamic vocal range highlight these two songs on opposite ends of the spectrum. Released as part of Nikki Niar and Nala’s collaborative two-track EP, the title track, ‘The World is Always Ending,’ is a modernized twist on Sneaker Pimps and Chemical Brothers resulting in one of the stand out singles on the label this year. Man A Monster — the brand new musical project formed in lockdown this past year in the UK between vocalist Robbie Grey of the iconic band Modern English (“I Melt With You”) and young composer Alex Cook — are excited to present their first song, “Warm Blooded Creatures.” There is a vast difference in age between the two artists, but the marriage of Grey’s post-punk and indie sensibilities with Cook’s original compositions forms a unique sound that incorporates electronic tones with biting noise-rock in their first offering.
J. Worra- Burn This House (feat. Little Boots)
J. Worra is returning to Insomniac Records with her new single “Burn This House” featuring Little Boots.
The L.A-based house music phenom is linking back up with the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter / producer Little Boots, after their first encounter with one another on “Wasteland” track from last year. “Burn This House” is a fiery tech house groove forged around her silky, shimmering vocal topline, which is carried by disco sirens, slinky drums, and dancefloor-igniting horn stabs.

Distinguished Belgian native Apashe continues to set a new precedent for electronic music which each subsequent project in his discography. Following the reimagined release of “I’m A Dragon VIP” earlier this year, the Montreal-based artist offers another stirring fusion of classic orchestral music and electronic music with his new collaborative single “RIP” with Vladimir Cauchemar. Burgeoning Australian house producer WILL K returned to Monstercat today, teaming up with Swedish singer-songwriter Neville for their debut collaborative single, “I Don’t Really Care.” Drawing inspiration from post-breakup woes, Neville’s sultry vocals recount the rollercoaster of emotions that hit when your former flame starts dating someone new. The bouncy bassline and crisp percussion blend perfectly with the moody synths and pads, a testament to WILL K’s refined production stylings. It’s been a long time coming, but Martin Garrix is finally dropping his first-ever club album ‘Sentio’ today, completing the album tracklist with not one, but two new releases.
‘’I was sitting on so much club music, and after the lockdowns, it felt like people wanted to party and get their spirits lifted again. The album features some radio-friendly songs, but it’s mostly the more aggressive Garrix club sound. I didn’t want people to have to wait for the high-quality versions after Ultra for too long, which is why we decided to drop them weekly after the set. I’m super excited all the tracks are finally out for everyone to listen to. My first album is a fact!’’

On June 3 Malka Spigel will release Gliding & Hiding via Swim~ (order). Gliding & Hiding presents one of post-punk’s maverick spirits at her finest: Malka Spigel sprang to prominence as bassist and vocalist with the legendary Minimal Compact. She’s also an internationally acclaimed photographer and video artist. Alongside her partner and long term collaborator Colin Newman, she’s also one half of the electro-kosmiche duo Immersion. The pair are also members of the unique art-pop quartet Githead.
