Techno’s hometown of Detroit is back again with the 2025 installment of Movement. Organizers carefully curated a lineup of over 115 artists for this year’s edition and the hype is well deserved. Detroit’s impact on the scene is only further solidified as techno lovers descend on the midwestern city from all corners of the world.

A Memorial Day Weekend to Remember

Falling on Memorial Day Weekend May 24th – 26th, Movement takes place in the Hart Plaza lining Detroit’s riverfront. Organizers make a point to showcase various electronic music artists, ushering in new and seasoned fans. From pre-parties to after-parties and even techno brunches, Detroit shows out for Movement.

Six Exciting Stages

Spanning 6 stages, each one offers something unique for electronic music fans to feast upon. Whether you’re looking for some Breakbeats, legendary heavy-hitters, or pure warehouse vibes, you’ll find what you’re looking for here. There’s even a Detroit stage where some of the brightest local talent will showcase their stuff. Newcomers like Underground Music Academy will make their first appearance this year alongside Detroit Love, and KMS Records.

A Diverse International Lineup

We got a teaser a few months ago, but now we get the whole thing. From Jeff Mills and Nina Kraviz to John Summit and Sara Landry, any electronic music lover will find something that’ll get them moving. Despite being techno-centric Movement also allows room for many other genres. Chase & Status have DNB on lock while FERG brings a different kind of beat to the table. There’s a lot to love about this lineup and it’s not hard to see why people come back year after year.
