Same Same But Different Festival (SSBD) is bringing back one of its most beloved and buzzed-about experiences: Nakey Island, a boat-only, private party zone packed with waterside dance floors, secret beaches, and all-day adventure opportunities. The festival is returning to Lake Perris, September 26-28.

In partnership with Almost Nakey, the SoCal creative crew, this hidden island experience returns to Lake Perris for a full weekend of floating fun. Nakey Island Passports grant unlimited boat rides all weekend, unlocking access to everything from tucked-away beaches to DJ sets, photo ops, and spontaneous pop-ups. Need a break from the party? Take a scenic hike and snap an insta-worthy “Top of the Island” moment!

“Nakey Island is the essence of SSBD—off-the-grid, unforgettable, and full of picturesque views you won’t find anywhere else. We wanted to create a place where people could dance in the sand, discover secret beaches and trails, and make new friends they’ll never forget. This year’s lineup and the energy building around the island are incredible.” Brad Sweet (Founder, SSBD)

This year’s island lineup includes Ardalan’s legendary ‘Ardy Party’, a Hood Politics takeover with Sherm, and a wave of surprise sets from others on the lineup! Last year Mindchatter dropped in, maybe your favorite artist will too! Also hitting the island decks: Afternoon Umbrella Friends, Global Therapy Collective, and sets from Marissa Carlene, MaikiMaiki, Tim Sams, Amira, and more.

Back on the main stages, SSBD offers three days of genre-bending performances from Zeds Dead, Dr. Fresch, ALLEYCVT, LSZEE, Boogie T.rio, Łaszewo, DJ Susan, Opiuo, and more.

But for festival-goers chasing a little something extra, Nakey Island lets you choose your own adventure. It’s the kind of experience that turns strangers into friends and moments into stories.
