Noise Pop Returns to San Francisco
For over 30 years Noise Pop Festival has brought together the community in the San Francisco music scene. This weekend it returns for a ten day long celebration of independent music and arts. The event will take place in multiple venues across San Francisco and feature 100+ artists.
The Kickoff party will start at the California Academy of Sciences at 6pm on Thursday February 22nd. Ryan Hemsworth and Giraffage will showcase their special electronic dance duo Bodysync. The party will be opened by discnogirl and jarradcleofé; and feature a martini fountain and fresh oyster in the Aquarium Mezzanine as well as other vendors. Following the Kickoff, Noise Pop Festival will officially begin on Friday February 23rd with a film screening of Dreamin’ Wild at the 4 Star Theatre and a live Q&A from Donnie Emerson and Nancy Sophia.
Over the entire week, the festival will feature over a hundred artists and musicians at venues all over San Francisco. Tommy Guerrero the skateboarding legend and accomplished musician will have a two-night Residency at 4 Star Theatre. Sofia Kourtesis will bring her cheerful and hypnotic house music to 1015 Folsom on February 29th. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will come together to celebrate their 30 year anniversary with a one-time show at The Curran on March 1st. And countless more artists will show off their tunes across the city.
