SoDown – Scenes of Consciousness

SoDown will unveil Scenes of Consciousness on Friday, October 16th, a deeply personal new album built around the idea of experiencing life as a series of scenes unfolding on screen. Drawing from his longtime love of cinema, classic films, vintage recordings, and music history, the project uses samples as more than production tools, weaving them into a larger meditation on memory, perspective, change, and the human experience. Across the album, snippets of old movies, familiar records, spoken dialogue, jazz, soul, hip-hop, and doo-wop collide with SoDown’s signature combination of bass music, funk, piano, and live saxophone, giving the project the feeling of moving through a film assembled from different eras of sound and culture.
