For the past several months, underground pop singer-songwriter/producer RYL0 has been teasing to her fans a vision of an eternal summer: photos of crystal blue waters, vibrant rays of sunshine, and lush grass have graced her timeline like a moodboard for the ideal vacation.

Today, all those idyllic, summery images and postulations are coming to life with RYL0’s new mixtape Last Resort: a 7-track package that showcases the artist’s versatile songwriting skillset as she pivots from edgy, experimental electronic instrumentals to a glam, luxurious pop aesthetic. Filled to the brim with catchy, show-stopping pop bangers, Last Resort is an homage to its creator’s pop music fanaticism and a statement on the malleability of pop as a concept.
