Return of the Forbidden Four at Forbidden Kingdom 2024

Excision, Svdden Death, Wooli, and Sullivan King are all some of the biggest names in the dubstep scene and if you attended Forbidden Kingdom last year in 2023, then you were lucky enough to see them all play a back to back set together. This two hour b2b2b2b2b was actually an unplanned thing that took place due to weather cancellations in Sullivan King’s and Excision’s set. Svdden Death and Wooli came in to save the day and let them crash their set: resulting in one of the most legendary b2bs in dubstep history. I unfortunately did not attend Forbidden Kingdom last year, but I had a ton of friends that did and I heard lots about it and saw videos that definitely put my “FOMO” in full swing. I had a feeling the Forbidden Four would make their return to Florida this year, and there was no way I was going to miss out on it again!

Excision, Svdden Death, Wooli, and Sullivan King have all continued to gain traction throughout this year, and more and more people are coming to know and love these dubstep icons. Each of these artists has made strides in the EDM community and it’s important we recognize each of them! Let’s first take a look at Excision, whose always been a leader in bass music, but recently gained lots of recognition with his Nexus Tour and videos of his new visuals going viral. I’m sure by now you’ve seen his angry Shrek visuals that had the ravers and even non-ravers recognizing and going crazy over them. Excision remains at the top of EDM and the bass music ladder. Will this legend ever fade away? At this point in time, I think it’s safe to say he will continue bringing us absolute bangers to break our necks to for years to come. Us bass heads are grateful for his dubstep wizardry and I can’t wait to see yet another fire set from him at FK!

Svdden Death has always been known for his darker side and chilling music, especially when he plays his VOYD set and wears the deer head. People may even consider some of his sets and music to be too dark or scary, but ever since his b2b with Marshmello at EDC in 2023, more and more people seem to be loving him and listening to his music. You most recently may have seen videos of the two throwing down in Mall of America and hundreds of people raging to their set. They also just had Mellodeath at Red Rocks and in Minneapolis where fans raved about how Marshmellow was playing on a stage/deck that was above Svdden Death. Lots of exciting things have been happening with Svdden Death the past few months so with all this excitement, he’s sure to show out for Forbidden Kingdom.

Next up we have Wooli, who is constantly pushing the boundaries of electronic music and quickly has risen to be one of my favorite artists. Every time I see him he brings insane production, music, and energy. He isn’t confined by one single genre within electronic music, as he’s always blending them together. His songs “Island”, “Another Me”, and “Song of the Year” will forever be certified bangers, and go down as some of my favorite EDM songs in history. Make sure you also check out two of his most recent songs “ACID” and “Make it Wobble”, which will have your bass face fully activated. You may have also recently seen videos of his Ice Spice remix with visuals of Ice Spice as Toad- this man clearly knows how to get the whole crowd hype and jumpin’, and I can’t wait to be in that energy in Orlando!

Last but certainly not least in the Forbidden Four is Sullivan King. Sullivan King is a man of many talents. He plays multiple instruments, produces, sings, screams, shreds the guitar, blends the sounds of metal with edm, and on top of all that, is a father. He’s definitely paving his own way with his metal-EDM hybrid sound, and people are loving it. I can also confirm that he is extremely entertaining to see live as he screams into the mic, head bangs with his luscious locks of hair, and even smashes his guitar on stage. He has lots of exciting shows on the horizon like Reckless Rocks II which is taking place on April 28th. I can’t wait to see the energy he’ll be bringing with him to their b2b set!

This is just a small taste of what these four artists can do, but as you can see, they’re all insanely talented and know how to put on an amazing show and give the people what they want. I’m so excited to see all of their artistry blended together in this b2b2b2b2b. I hope you’ll be raging and getting really sweaty with me in the Florida heat this year. I’ll see you in Orlando on June 7th and 8th my fellow bass babies and head bangers!
