Artist Biography

Jenny Lewis is an indie folk artist that has been in the spotlight since she was a child. She was born to Las Vegas entertainment parents in 1977 and later relocated to the San Fernando Valley as a child. Before the age of 10, Jenny appeared in major commercials which got her a role on the 1986 sitcom Life with Lucy. She made guest spots in various sitcoms and even two films, The Wizard and Troop Beverly Hills. In the 90s, she had reoccurring roles in both Shannon’s Deal and Brooklyn Bridge. In 1998, Jenny left acting to start the band Rilo Kiley with her then-boyfriend Blake Sennett. The band started taking off in 2004 when they signed a distribution deal with Warner, but Jenny focused on her solo career that took off in 2006 with her debut Rabbit Fur Coat. Rilo Kiley fizzled out soon after but the band’s official disbandment didn’t occur until 2014. Jenny soared as a solo artist and has worked on many collaborations including the trio Nice as Fuck in 2016. This lady with a storied past will definitely fit in on the Farm!
