Artist Biography

Neighbor is an up-and-coming jam band from Boston that has built a large grass-roots following. At the start of 2019, keyboardist Richard James and guitarist Lyle Brewer, who were neighbors growing up, decided to start playing music again after a long hiatus. They brought in Dean Johnston on drums and Dan Kelly on bass to complete the lineup. They started writing original music and built a following in Boston by playing a Tuesday residency slot at Thunder Road. The band settled on Neighbor as the band and call their loyal fans Neighbors as many of them are locals to their hometown. A lot of their fanbase comes from Pink Talking Fish, the cover band Richard is in, and from The New Motif, the band that Dan Kelly is in. However, Neighbor has hooked their audience with their original tunes, many of which are inspired by other jam tunes they were asked to cover. They have a concept album titled Silver that has been played as a rock odyssey five times with an explanation of the story found on their website. With Bonnaroo in their path, one can hope that we will get to see Silver on the Farm!
