Artist Biography

Kip Moore is a Georgia-born country artist who made his fame during the “bro country” phase of the 2010s. He was raised in Tifton near the Florida-Georgia state line by his parents who were a golfer and a painter. He didn’t really pursue music until he attended Wallace State Community College in Alabama. He transferred to Valdosta on a golf scholarship but still had a passion for music. His first gig was at the local Mellow Mushroom restaurant with a full band. After Kip graduated, he made his way to Nashville in 2004. He worked as a manager at Abercrombie & Fitch while working towards his music career. It wasn’t until 2008 that Kip got the attention of Universal Group Nashville who signed him and produced his 2012 debut Up All Night. Previous to his debut, his breakout 2011 single was “Something ‘Bout a Truck” which made it to number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart and number 29 on the Hot 100. It eventually went double-platinum. Off his debut “Beer Money” and “Hey Pretty Girl” became Top Ten country hits. From these first initial successes, Kip has continued to top the charts.
