Artist Biography

Amble is the Irish folk trio — Robbie Cunningham (vocals/guitar), Oisín McCaffrey (guitar/vocals), and Ross McNerney (mandolin) — whose deeply resonant songwriting and acoustic craftsmanship have propelled them from pub stages in rural Ireland to international festival fields with remarkable speed. Formed in 2022 as a casual collaboration that quickly blossomed into a full‑time project, Amble’s sound blends traditional Irish folk influences with contemporary storytelling, weaving intricate mandolin and guitar interplay with evocative vocal harmonies that evoke place, memory, and the passages of everyday life. The band’s debut album Reverie — recorded largely live around a single microphone to preserve an organic sonic intimacy — debuted at No. 1 on Ireland’s Official Albums Chart and has since amassed over 100 million streams while earning acclaim from NPR, Stereogum, and Rolling Stone for its warm, unvarnished approach to folk‑rooted music. With a festival set that balances nostalgic lyricism and rigorous musicianship, Amble has emerged as a vivid voice in modern folk, translating the traditions of their heritage into performances that feel both timeless and immediate.
