Seattle Gets Bumbershoot For 51 Years!
Can you believe that Seattle’s Bumbershoot Arts and Music Festival will return for the 51st year this Labor Day Weekend (Aug 31 – September 1)? That’s a long time to be serving the Seattle area! Bumbershoot is held in the heart of the city on Seattle Center’s sprawling 74-acre urban campus. With a half-century of rich history, Bumbershoot has been at the vanguard of artistic innovation, showcasing established luminaries and emerging artists who have later skyrocketed to stardom. And one of the best parts is that this is one of the longest-running independent festivals in the world! The event will this year continue its long tradition of offering a little something for everyone, with a uniquely Pacific Northwest point of view. Now, the festival has revealed its highly awaited daily lineups for the exciting weekend ahead. We’re looking forward to checking out everything it has to offer!

Saturday will kick off the festival with stellar performances from indie-rock legends Pavement, rap veterans Cypress Hill, pop-rock duo Aly & AJ, CHVRCHES’ Lauren Mayberry, and a rare on-stage pairing of singer/songwriters Madison Cunningham and Andrew Bird! Additional Saturday performances include Freddie Gibbs, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Black Belt Eagle Scout, Psymon Spine, and many others. Sunday will also offer an array of exciting acts, including esteemed U.K. songwriter and genre-bending producer James Blake, folk-rockers Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile and The Violators, electronic trailblazer Marc Rebillet, jazz upstarts BADBADNOTGOOD, and alt-legend Kim Gordon. Additional Sunday acts include The Polyphonic Spree, Lol Tolhurst x Budgie, Rocket, and much more. The full daily line-up is listed below.
