Start Your Engines for Welcome to Rockville 2026
Rockvillans, it’s time to book those flights, reserve those rooms, and pull those band tees out of your closet. Welcome to Rockville 2026 is officially less than 90 days away! We are super excited to be returning to the World Center of Racing for the largest rock festival in the nation. Can’t wait to see what this event has in store for attendees, especially with Rockville celebrating its 15th anniversary this year!
Welcome to Rockville truly has something for everybody, from rock legends to punk performers, to heavy metal groups, with emerging up and coming artists, you will always be able to find a set you’ll enjoy, you might even discover a new favorite. I’m personally most excited to catch sets from Poppy, Voila, and 3Oh!3, and stoked to experience Avatar, Lamb of God, Sevendust, Black Label Society, Sepultura, Zakk Sabbath, White Chapel, Devil Driver, and Hatebreed, among others! Rockville offers a collection of the nicest, most genuine attendees I’ve seen at any festival/concert. Everyone is so friendly, keeping an eye on each other, offering support when needed, the vibes brought by the crowd are so welcoming. With the diversity in the lineup, you get to see fans from every genre, coexisting and interacting with each other in the pits.
In terms of vendors, I am eagerly awaiting returning to Drip, my favorite booth from last year’s event. I’m actually drooling thinking about their Green Goddess matcha drink. I am also excited to check out all the food booths this year. We found a birria spot we really liked the first day, and just kept going back to them because it was so delicious. But we definitely need to expand our experience this time around. Rockville offers choices for every flavor profile, as well as many options for dietary restrictions. As any festival goer knows, the merch booth at a festival is always insane, but WTR seems to have solved the mystery. The lines moved quickly, merch was organized neatly, and the booth runners were knowledgeable about the stock and styles available. Smoothest festival merch experience ever!
On a technical note, I’m super excited about the infrastructure. Rockville has some of the best stages in the festival game. The lighting is always immaculate, the viewing screens are large and high quality, and the sound is the best I’ve heard at any event. Not to mention the gorgeous sunsets and art installations featured around the festival, and special locations designated for photo opportunities!
If you’re worried about the heat/humidity, don’t be! Welcome to Rockville makes sure water is readily accessible around the venue, in the form of water stations, and available for purchase at all booths! The festival also offers many areas to cool down. I’m really looking forward to the cooling buses again this year; they were an absolute lifesaver for getting out of the sun and finding a space to decompress after going hard at your favorite sets. There are also cooling areas in certain merch and sponsor booths, where you can chat with other attendees or learn about the products offered by that company. Some of them even host pop-up meet and greets and/or signing sessions with artists from the Rockville’s lineup! (Sign up for in-app notifications so you don’t miss the opportunity to attend these!)
