The Who’s Who of Outside Lands!

Bay Area, it’s that time of year again. We are only a few workdays away from SF’s biggest and most iconic festival, Outside Lands. You can feel the excitement in the air from Oakland to San Jose. Fans are gearing up for an epic weekend of music and Nor Cal culture. I have rounded up some of my top artists, things to consider, and pro tips for a very successful weekend at Golden Gate Park.

Let’s start with the logistics:

PARKING! Now there really isn’t any parking around Golden Gate Park, there is some street parking but that’s not your best bet. Rideshare, bikes, scooters, and public transportation are going to be your friend. Seriously consider all options besides parking at the event. OSL is also offering shuttles to and from the Bill Graham. You can find more info on transportation & shuttles here https://www.sfoutsidelands.com/info/

BAG POLICY! Outside Lands is following suit like many other major events these days and requiring clear bags for entry. There are a few exceptions including hydration backpacks with a single pocket and small fanny packs or purses less than 6″ by 8″. Basically if it isn’t smaller than those dimensions or a hydration bag, it must be clear. As mentioned, most events are going in this direction for security so it’s about time to invest in a cute clear bag.

The schedule is out fam!!! Head to the website or download the Outside Lands app to check out when your favorite artists are performing and create your perfect schedule at https://www.sfoutsidelands.com/schedule/#/

I am super excited for Green Day and Illenium. Green Day is the sounds of my youth and I’ve never seen them live so it’s going to be a wild nostalgic ride. Illenium has been my #1 on Spotify for probably 5 years now and I can’t wait to see his hometown special performance. I have no idea what a “special hometown performance” entails but I am here for it. Here is a list of my earlier artists not to miss: Forester, Kim Petras, The Backseat Lovers, Tyla Yaweh, and Sampa the Great.

THE SOMA TENT! I REPEAT! SOMA TENT! This is where it’s at this weekend, I know it’s easy to get stuck at the main stages to see some big name artists BUT it will be a GOOD TIME at the Soma Tent. If you love dance music, or even if you don’t, you have to check it out. This is such a special addition that Outside Lands brings to the festival. You can see Claude VonStroke and Tokimonsta here this weekend among many international DJs and producers. See you there 🙂
