Tips To Make The Most Of Your North Coast Experience
North Coast is coming back to SeatGeek Stadium this Labor Day Weekend and you had better be ready to enjoy the fun! I’ve been for the past two years and I am excited to cover the festival again this year! This year, I’m lucky enough to bring along some of my best friends! I’m so excited to experience it all again with you. So here are my top 10 tricks for making the best of the weekend.
Plan to buy a parking pass ahead of time or a shuttle pass. There really aren’t great public transportation options in the area so make sure you plan how you are going to get there BEFORE you go! If you are going to any afterparties, make sure you have a plan for that too!
Afterparties! Historically, North Coast has ended at midnight, so make sure you grab those tickets if you want to keep the party going all night long. There are some great ones, so check them out HERE!
SHOES SHOES SHOES! I can’t stress this one enough. North Coast takes place at a stadium, meaning the ground is often pavement! I’ve noticed my feet get more sore on pavement than they do on soft cushy grass. You want to keep your feet comfy all weekend!
Check out the art installations! There are tons of cool ones to check out, including the Incendia Fire Pit, the Yacht Club, and more!
CLUB COAST is one of my favorite parts of the festival. This is a secret speakeasy that you need to access through the North Coast app- this is where the password is housed. You need the PASSWORD to enter. Personally, I’m hoping Harold, the security guard from all three nights last year, is BACK to greet again. There are wonderful bathrooms in Club Coast and it is air conditioned.
New this year is Frick Frack Blackjack! This has been at previous festivals I have attended and it is something you should check out. See Val’s article about why she loves this “no-money” gambling tent.
The Chill Dome definitely has to be on your list! It is a giant soccer dome that is air-conditioned and will keep you cool during the hot days! You can make some really neat friends there if you’re trying to just chill. Speaking of making friends, if you feel the vibe, follow it! Trade some kandi, spread PLURR, or ask someone if you can join them.
The Ferris Wheel is new! I’m not personally a fan of heights but wouldn’t it be a dream to enjoy your favorite set with your pals at the top of the Ferris wheel?
Make sure you know the rules about bags. You need CLEAR backpacks, small purses or fanny packs, or you can use a hydration pack, but make sure it is empty when you arrive. Honestly, if you haven’t invested in a clear pack yet, you probably should as most festivals are starting to move this way anyway.
Lastly, it is a marathon, not a sprint! If you want to make it all three days, pace yourself, drink some Electrolit or Liquid IV, and actually sleep when you’re not at the festival.
