Up-and-Coming Artists You Don’t Want to Miss at PHXLIGHTS
PHXLIGHTS is bringing some major names to the Phoenix Raceway this year such as: Seven Lions, Kaskade, NGHTMRE, JOYRYDE, and Alok. As amazing as these artists are, let’s not forget some of the artists that you might not have heard as much about, but are definitely worth the hype as well!
The first artist I want to talk about is Levity. This electric trio began in 2023 with only 2,000 followers on Instagram and then closing out the year, they now have over 90,000. The recognition all started when they were asked to at the very last minute fill in at Electric Forest. They ended up doing a surprise Sunset set that everyone went nuts for. It turned from just a small group of people into “one huge wonky party”, as they said on TikTok, along with a video of everyone vibing in the forest to their set. They also gained more recognition when they dropped their song, “Flip It” on tik tok and it reached over 800,000,000 views- as well as through other artists playing their songs. For example, LSDREAM played “Flip it” all throughout his R.A.V.E tour, and John Summit played their, “Come a little closer” remix that got lots of people buzzing about them! Levity has also had their songs played by other major artists such as Subtronics, Zeds Dead, and Marshmello, so their music definitely has reached the ears of many- even if you didn’t know it!
The next artist I want to mention is Alleycvt. Just like Levity, Alleycvt has used social media and TikTok as a means to gain recognition and followers and put her music out. The video on her TikTok from last January 2023, which shows her making the song “Religion”, has reached over 3 million views and 600,000,000 likes. She also did this with her song “BACK2LIFE” which got her over 600,000,000 views and nearly 100,000,000 likes. She uses her TikTok videos to show the process and creation of her songs, and also how she does all her own vocals- which is something that sets her apart from most other EDM artists! She also just recently finished her tour, “Planet Supersonic”, which I was lucky enough to attend! She brought all the bass and good vibes to this sold out show in Phoenix and graced us with her magical stage presence and energy. She is already on the lineup for Paradise Blue and Electric Forest this year and I’m sure she has lots of other exciting things coming up!
