We Are Better Together
This past weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to attend Better Together in Arizona, and let me just say—Relentless Beats brought the heat with this one! From an electrifying lineup to amazing production, I danced the night away and had the time of my life. Each artist brought their A-game, delivering unforgettable sets that highlighted their own unique styles. That said, there were definitely a few standout performances for me that really stole the show. Let’s dive into those moments and take a closer look at the magic that made Better Together truly special.
Starting off strong, my favorite set from the weekend had to be Fisher. This guy knows how to always bring an insane amount of energy into his sets. From start to finish, the vibes were off the charts, keeping the entire crowd on their feet—dancing, singing, and on cloud 9 the whole time. We were definitely spinnin’ in his atmosphere. There were a couple of standout moments in his set that I’ll never forget. First, when he played “Take It Off,” the crowd went wild—everyone was singing the lyrics at the top of their lungs, creating an electrifying atmosphere that you could feel in your bones. Then, when he played “Stephanie” by Cloonee, a track that’s still unreleased, the crowd was all on a complete vibe. It’s a certified banger, and the energy was next level.
Now, let’s talk about the production. The lasers were next-level, some of the best I’ve seen at any Relentless Beats show. Each artist had their own curated light show that perfectly synced with their sound, and Fisher’s set was no exception. The visuals and lasers during his set were wild—perfectly complementing the fun, high-energy vibe he brings. The whole experience was a complete sensory overload in the best possible way, and I was here for every second of it.
Another standout from the weekend was definitely Carl Cox. I’d never seen him live before, but going into day 1, I already knew he was a legend in the tech house scene. I didn’t know what to expect, but his set absolutely did not disappoint. The beats he played were unlike anything I’ve ever heard before— the sounds were so unique and I really have never seen a set quite like this one before. The way his music flowed, and combined with the lasers, created an experience that felt perfectly in sync. It was like the visuals and the sounds were made for each other.
What really stood out to me about his set was how he engaged with the crowd. He was always on the mic, hyping everyone up, and it really added a fun, infectious energy to the whole set. You couldn’t help but get caught up in it. His vibe made everyone want to move, and the crowd was completely in the moment. On a personal note, this set was extra special because tech house is my best friend’s favorite genre of EDM, so getting to experience it with her was a blast. Watching her absolutely lose it during his drops was a highlight of the weekend—her excitement was contagious, and it made the whole experience that much more memorable. Carl Cox definitely made for an unforgettable time and his set was one for the books!
The final standout set I have to mention from the weekend was Disclosure. Of course this was an extremely vibey set. They played so many of their OG classic tracks—the ones everyone knows and loves—so naturally, the whole crowd was singing along at the top of their lungs. It was pure blissful energy from start to finish. My favorite part was when they played “Latch.” The crowd went absolutely wild, and hearing that iconic track live for the first time was a nostalgic moment that hit me with an overwhelming wave of euphoria. I could feel the entire vibe shift, and it was a beautiful mix of nostalgia and pure joy.
Their set was so mesmerizing that even when I was heading to the bathroom, I heard the opening of “She’s Gone, Dance On” and immediately ran back to the VIP section. That beat drop was way too good to miss! The whole crowd was bouncing around, dancing, and just having the time of their lives. It was one of those moments that made night one feel extra special and left me with nothing but happy memories from their set. Disclosure definitely made it an unforgettable night.
All in all, Better Together was an absolute blast. From the killer sets to the incredible production by Relentless Beats, every moment was pure magic. House music has once again brought us together, to vibe, dance, and lose ourselves under a sky of stunning lights and lasers. Until next year, you can’t keep us apart because, in the end, we truly are Better Together.
