Zeds Dead Takes Over Mesa Amphitheatre

Two nights of Zeds Dead at Mesa Amphitheatre was exactly what we needed. Night one, we got there a little later, so we decided to stand toward the top of the amphitheater stairs, and honestly, the view was amazing. There really wasn’t a bad spot in the venue. As soon as we walked in, the vibes were immediately 12/10. Everyone seemed so happy to be there, there was plenty of room to dance, and we even made some new friends along the way.

The second “Ecstasy of Soul” came on, I couldn’t help but start headbanging. It’s one of my favorite Zeds Dead songs, so hearing it live was definitely a highlight. They also played a Willy Wonka “Pure Imagination” remix with the most beautiful lasers filling the outdoor venue.

By night two, we were ready to do it all over again. This time, we went straight into the crowd closer to the stage, where we somehow had even more room to dance. One of my favorite moments was their unreleased color ID, where the visuals and lights changed along with each color being called out. Red, green, blue, the whole crowd was locked in.

When they played “Stars Tonight,” I couldn’t help but look up at the actual stars and feel so thankful to be there. Even in the Arizona heat, Zeds Dead came out in full suits both nights and completely delivered.

Mesa Amphitheatre was the perfect venue for a show like this. The outdoor setting, open space, great views, and room to dance made the whole weekend even better.
