Zeds (not so) Dead At Maya Day Club This Labor Day Weekend
Have you heard the news? Zeds Dead will be at Maya Day Club this Sunday, September 1st! Labor Day weekend is shaping up to be unforgettable as we groove to the beats of Zeds Dead. Let’s get ready to party and vibe with Zeds Dead baby, Zeds Dead! 😉
This iconic Canadian electronic music duo from Toronto consists of Dylan Mamid (also known as DC) and Zachary Rapp-Rovan (aka Hooks). They are true pioneers in the world of electronic dance music and are constantly pushing the envelope with their unique sets and sounds. Over the past several years, they’ve established themselves as major figures in the EDM scene, with a reputation that’s well-known and well-loved by fans. Recently, they’ve gained even more traction with unforgettable sets and viral videos from events like Bass Canyon, Dead Rocks, and First Contact.
Growing up in Colorado, I was lucky enough to be able to attend the Dead Rocks shows that they put on each year at Red Rocks. Every time I see them, I think they can’t possibly get any better, yet they always manage to exceed my expectations. This year was especially exciting as I got to catch their 10th Annual Dead Rocks after missing the past three years, so I was beyond ecstatic. I also got to see their Mission Ballroom set that same week on July 4th, which was a real treat. Each show was absolutely unreal, but their night one set at Dead Rocks might just be the best I’ve ever seen from them. They brought us a mix of nostalgia and innovation, creating a unique experience unlike anything else. They said, “We wanted our sets here to be a mashup of music and culture from all eras. As if aliens picked up a tv signal but it was coming in all scrambled from different moments in time.” Zeds Dead is truly one of a kind and an artist I think everyone needs to experience at least once in their- journey of a lifetime!
