Artist Biography

Sammy Rae & The Friends is an 8-piece band that started in New York City. Sammy Rae grew up in Connecticut tickling the keys and penned her first songs at age 12. When she turned 19, she moved to New York City to pursue a career as a professional singer where she could be found singing at the Cotton Club and The Bittle End. In 2018, she released her debut EP The Good Life and started selling out shows at larger and larger venues including The Brooklyn Bowl and Brooklyn Steel. She built a lineup around herself, the Friends, and took to the global stage, performing in both Brazil and England. The band seeks to create a safe space for self-love, self-identity, and acceptance at every show. Sammy Rae & The Friends hit the festival circuit last year with a very warm reception from their crowd. Now, they seek to play Bonnaroo in 2023 to wow yet another audience with their magical tunes.
