Balaton Sound

Barclay Crenshaw, renowned for his pioneering work with Dirtybird Records, embarks on a pivotal transition with his 2024 headline tour, Open Channel. Moving away from the house sound synonymous with his Claude VonStroke persona to the burgeoning realms of bass music, Crenshaw announces tour dates at iconic venues like Webster Hall, signifying a new musical era. The 13-stop tour announcement is a prelude to his much-anticipated album, Open Channel, set for a Spring release via Easier Said.

Richmond, VA-to-LA rapper, producer, and vocalist Peter $un today delivered his last release of the year on Red Bull Records/Mind of a Genius. Off his infectious summer EP, 3PIECE, the groovy lead single “MY FAVORITE DR**” received the remix treatment from the likes of UK tastemaker Blinkie, DMV scene-shapers Jae Murphy and Uncle Kizzy, and the goddess of rhythm, Karen Nyame KG. Reggae Land
Reggae Land is set to bring unrivaled summer fun to the supersized new home of The National Bowl in Milton Keynes on August 3 and 4 2024 with over 100 artists, and 50+ food traders. Japanese legend Shinichi Osawa makes his label debut with his new FCKNJP EP out now via Dirtybird Records.
An ambitious debut from one of Asia’s most eclectic electronic visionaries, FCKNJP is a hyperactive two-track exploration into the spontaneous spirit of Shinichi Osawa’s iconic style. The EP kickstarts with ‘LUVTECHNO’, a percussive-heavy opener that spirals with acidic energy and dizzying progressions over its five minutes. Its companion, ‘FCKNJP’, is equally equipped with erratic and volatile parities as it weaves through tenacious countermelodies and high-powered builds. Attention-grabbing from start to finish, FCKNJP is a sublime experimental offering from Osawa.

Sonny Fodera & Marten Hørger- Levitate
London-based house music prodigy Sonny Fodera and genre-traversing German producer Marten Hørger are two of the most well-respected artists in contemporary dance music.
Now, the two producers team up for their first collaboration, “Levitate,” which is releasing via Insomniac Records. This is Fodera’s first release with Insomniac since his full-length 2019 LP Rise, and Marten Hørger’s debut with their main label. Filled to the brim with classic house chord progressions, blazing percussion, and infectious vocal samples, “Levitate” is a vintage warehouse-inspired groover that closes out 2023 in grand fashion.

LA-based producer and vocalist Starya, formerly known as Tuff Ghost, is an expert at distilling real-life environments into her futuristic, electronic pop soundscapes. She’s a creative polymath: she uses her skills in singing, producing, and mixing to directly translate her fantastical vision into evocative, spellbinding songs.
Today, the artist unveils “Wet,” a sparkling, bloghouse inspired club-pop track. Blending Starya’s ethereal vocal presentation with pulsating, electro synth lines and lurid sound design, “Wet” is a dripping warehouse banger that transports listeners to the middle of a sweaty nightclub dancefloor.

Versailles 400
Versailles 400 is a uniquely hybrid artistic creation created specifically by Jean-Michel Jarre to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the Château de Versailles. On December 25, 2023, this concert will be an opportunity for Jean-Michel Jarre, who is widely hailed as the Godfather of Electronic Music, and for his innovative approach to his spectacular live events, to celebrate contemporary French innovation as well as link the past to the future. The event takes place in a location that was at the origin of an incredible artistic revolution and to pay tribute to the great royal festivities that have marked the history and made the world-famous Château de Versailles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
