EDC Vegas 2025: One of the World’s Biggest Celebrations of EDM
Over 540,000 enthusiastic Headliners poured into a vibrant neon wonderland at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway from May 16-18, 2025, for three unforgettable days of pulsating music, stunning art, and meaningful connection at Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas.
About Electric Daisy Carnival
Founded by Pasquale Rotella in 1993, EDC is hosted by Insomniac, an influential American electronic music event promoter and music distributor. While EDC has called many places home over the years, the first EDC Las Vegas event took place from June 24-26, 2011, at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The Stages: A Kaleidoscope of Sound
Across the three days, Headliners experienced electrifying sets across sixteen unique stages. These stages included kineticFIELD, the colossal main stage known for its massive scale and intricate, thematic designs that follow the festival’s annual theme. CircuitGROUNDS was the second-largest stage, offering an immersive experience with large LED walls and pyrotechnics.
CosmicMEADOW was the first stage attendees saw upon entering and the location for the EDC Opening Ceremony. BassPOD served as the thumping haven for headbangers, featuring heavy dubstep, bass house, drum & bass, and trap. NeonGARDEN was dedicated to deep house and techno, providing a more intimate and underground club atmosphere. WasteLAND was the home of hard dance, hardstyle, and hardcore. QuantumVALLEY offered an ethereal spot for trance music lovers with dreamy melodies and sounds. StereoBLOOM, curated by Insomniac Music Group, featured a diverse, eclectic range of dance music genres, including house, tech house, and bass music, from both established and emerging, talented artists. BionicJUNGLE was a newer addition to EDC, focusing on various house artists.
This year, EDC announced the addition of a new stage called Ubuntu. This stage was thoughtfully dedicated to Afro-house music, in collaboration with South Africa’s Bridges For Music Academy. Beyond these main stages, the festival grounds also included smaller art car stages, themed bars, and other interactive areas. All these elements contributed to the overall stage count and diverse musical offerings.
Notable Sets: A Star-Studded Lineup
EDC Las Vegas featured a massive lineup of over 250 artists, representing every dynamic genre of electronic and dance music. Some notable sets included Dom Dolla b2b Chase and Status, where Dom Dolla, known for his signature tech house sounds, surprised fans by ending his set with a back-to-back performance with the iconic Drum and Bass duo Chase and Status. Tiësto’s closing set at kineticFIELD, especially his “In Search of Sunrise” theme, was also very significant and a nostalgic highlight for trance and progressive house fans, marking a return to his roots. The kings of melodic techno, ARTBAT b2b MORTEN, offered a hypnotizing and incredibly energetic experience. ISOKNOCK (ISOxo b2b Knock2), who have been making massive, impactful waves in the trap scene, delivered back-to-back sets known for high energy and innovative, cutting-edge sound. Finally, ILLENIUM b2b SLANDER, a collaboration between two melodic dubstep powerhouses, was a must-see for fans of emotional and heavy drops.
Production & Layout: An Immersive World
The entire festival takes place inside the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Upon entering, Headliners are greeted by a jaw dropping aerial view of the entire festival. On Friday only, an early opening ceremony takes place at the cosmicMEADOW stage from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Following this, the rest of the festival grounds are usually open from 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM each night. There is truly no better feeling than dancing until the sun comes up.
EDC wouldn’t be complete without all its vibrant carnival aspects. Throughout the festival, Headliners can enjoy various rides, including a ferris wheel and roller coaster. Additionally, numerous food options with low, convenient wait times are available across the festival grounds, with various areas to sit and enjoy a bite. One of the coolest parts of EDC is “Downtown EDC.” This area is home to some of the most fun and unique activities you can experience at the festival, including going on a blind date, dancing at the 70’s disco, or even getting married at the wedding chapel.
EDC would not be complete without its spectacular fireworks throughout the night, with a major show usually kicking off around 1:40 AM each night. This is a highly anticipated moment for many Headliners, offering a breathtaking display that lights up the entire Speedway. And of course, EDC wouldn’t be complete without mentioning all the wonderful, engaging performers that could be found throughout the festival grounds!
