Few instrumentalists carry more respect than Adam Deitch & Borahm Lee, who together form renown live-electronic act, Break Science.
On February 2nd, the hybrid producer/instrumentalist duo will officially mark their return with a brand new EP, Mecha Flora. Mecha Flora, a lockdown-era project, is a showcase for the vitality of live instrument-infused electronic music and its meditative, cathartic effect on listeners. The 6-track EP also marks the duo’s first extended release since 2018’s album, Grid of Souls.
“I broke our favorite dishes to pieces / tried to put them back together with glue.” The first lines from “Baby Anymore” the latest single from art pop quintet Bridal Party, symbolize the rifts that arise in a romantic partnership when certain things are left unsaid. The track has a 90’s avant-pop vibe that precludes a modern indie pop sound.
The track arrives February 1st, in anticipation of the band’s sophomore effort Cool Down due February 15, 2023.

Born and raised in the cultural hub of Istanbul, Turkish producer Elif is rapidly earning her rightful place amongst dance music’s elite. Laying claim to an abundance of internationally celebrated releases on the likes of Stil vor Talent, Anjunadeep, Kindisch and Gardens of Babylon over the past few years, the prolific Barcelona-based talent has managed to carve out her own unique sonic path since emerging onto the scene in 2019, and is rapidly making a name for herself as one of the most exciting, in-demand artists in electronic music today. Having forged a now-trademark sound of flowing, melodic floor fillers, Elif now looks to open up her New Year’s catalogue in emphatic fashion as she unveils a dynamic new remix of Husa & Zeyada’s 2021 single, A Little Fun.
Originally hailing from the Thames estuary coastal town of Southend-on-sea but now residing in London, First Day Of Spring, a 5 piece outfit led by Samuel Jones’ songwriting, has bloomed.
First Day Of Spring’s music has various themes, from storytelling and autobiographical descriptions of a creative TRYING in their twenties to a focus on sound, euphoric & exuberant, or through gentle melancholic stillness, taking the listener out of their own reality is the aim of the songwriting. Ultimately, First Day Of Spring wants you to feel something.
Russian tech-house producer GetCosy releases his latest ‘Hercules’ EP, out now via Dirtybird Records.
Following his 2021 ‘Sick Motor’ EP, GetCosy returns to Dirtybird Records with a monstrous two-track EP. With its name derived from Greek mythology, GetCosy’s ‘Hercules’ EP is a sonic serpentine into the dark and devious side of techno. Filled with textured basslines and distorted percussion, the titular track blasts off into a powerful, fast-paced modular synth anthem. Its accompaniment, ‘Hydra’, is charged with relentless energy and big, bold melodies that combine for a thrilling sound. With ‘Hercules’, GetCosy cements his status as one of Dirtybird’s rising talents.
One of the most dynamic live acts in electronic music today, the musical creativity and artistic vision that embodies GHEIST is quite remarkable. Following the global success of their opening two singles on Embassy One in 2022 – Losing Game and Only – the inexhaustible German trio now continues its prolific run of form on the Berlin-based imprint, inaugurating the New Year in emphatic fashion with the release of its latest musical project, Gravity EP.

The Reds, Pinks & Purples- Life In The Void
Music toys with time. Or, maybe songs reflect back that time is always toying with us. The world of a song takes hold of us like an eternity to be lost in, with its repetitions and variations, but ultimately, as with everything else, it has a start and then ends. And there’s no place to lose time like San Francisco, where there are no seasons and all the seasons occur within one day; where the fog takes the space where your plans might have been; where there’s insane wealth all around and everyone you know and love is hanging on at the periphery and making art on any given Tuesday night. About Glenn Donaldson’s new record, The Town That Cursed Your Name, he says, “I realized as I was piecing it together that it’s a song cycle about trying to live while also feeling called to make music.” It’s a double life when it works and a deeper doubleness to mirror the Gemini nature of songs themselves. The Town That Cursed Your Name contemplates this problem with wryness, generosity, and the micro- and macroscopic realness Donaldson is known and loved for.
