Get ready to freakout because the 11th Annual Freakout Festival is coming up fast! Seattle’s highly anticipated fall music festival is gearing up for its biggest and most eclectic rendition yet. From November 2nd to 5th, 2023, live music lovers will come out of the woodwork and flock to the vibrant Ballard neighborhood to experience an unforgettable four-day party with electrifying performances. It’s going to be beautiful!

Freakout has been going on for 11 years now- and this year is gold! The festival is freshly minted as a not-for-profit, which is great! The festival has always prided itself as an institution that puts artists first and showcases talent from the global scene. There are so many genres present such as garage rock to psychedelic, punk to electronic, and everything in between, the festival embraces the full spectrum of sonic exploration and is known for paying homage to established legends.

Freakout is thrilled to announce the 2023 lineup – among the standout headliners are:

Allah-Las: Los Angeles-based psych-rock outfit Allah-Las have garnered critical acclaim for their mesmerizing melodies and dreamy, sun-soaked sound. Their captivating live shows transport audiences to a hazy, nostalgic realm where jangling guitars and beautiful harmonies reign supreme.

The Gories: Hailing from Detroit, The Gories have been pioneers of the garage rock revival since the late ’80s. With their raw, high-energy performances and gritty sound, they have left an indelible mark on the underground music scene.

The Spits: With their unapologetic punk ethos and frenetic energy, The Spits will be performing 2 sets at this year’s Freakout. The band consistently delivers an electrifying live experience, and this notorious group has carved out a dedicated fanbase with their legendarily chaotic performances. Prepare to emerge from the pit soaked in a combination of beer and sweat.

Son Rompe Pera: Straight from Mexico, Son Rompe Pera brings their unique blend of cumbia and punk to the Freakout stage. Their vibrant and high-octane performances fuse traditional Latin rhythms with an edgy punk attitude, creating an irresistible and unforgettable sonic experience.

Sextile: Emerging from the vibrant Los Angeles music scene, Sextile has been captivating audiences with their dark, dancey and atmospheric goth soundscapes. Their haunting blend of post-punk and electronic elements creates a mesmerizing sonic landscape and is best experienced on the dancefloor.

Freakout will continue to expand its lineup with additional exciting acts in the coming months, promising an even more extensive and dynamic roster of performers.
