Global Dance Festival: Comin’ in HOT
We are about ten sunny days away from the long-awaited summer fest of Colorado, Global Dance Festival (July 20th and 21st), and there’s lots of reasons to get excited. Global Dance 2018 Plans on delivering bass, fun, and good memories as they have for over decade and a half with this annual festival.
The line-up for Global Dance Festival 2018 is full of music for all electronic and rap/hip-hop listeners. In fact, its perfect place to explore and expand your music enjoyment library. Like hard and heavy? ATLiens, will be there to make you break your neck. The well renowned progressive house artist, Deadmau5, will have you in a bubble of electronic nostalgia and house bliss. you are going to find yourself having a fantastic time at any of the magical stages Global Dance has to offer. Global Dance has also been implementing hip-hop and rap as well, such as Rich The Kid and Gucci Mane, who will be taking the stage to help you get your hype on. Global even went the extra mile by dipping into a little bit of something I haven’t seen in a long time, Breathe Carolina, who brings a fun electro-pop sound to the scene! Many people are most excited for the back-to-back of Illenium with Said the Sky, which I’m sure is something nobody will want to miss. As many know, this event used to be held at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater in beautiful Morrison, CO. Being a long-time Global Dance Fest attendee myself, I’ve noticed this has been difficult for a lot of people to transition from. However, Red Rocks did and does have restrictions that inhibited Global from really adding to their experience for their attendees. Since the venue change, there have been many features added to Global Dance Festival. There are carnival rides and fireworks, which were never allowed at the previous venue for environmental and noise ordinance reasons. The stages have also been able to multiply from three to four or five, with better acoustics! Many more vendors are also available for food, clothing, accessories and so much more! They even added sculptures and other fun apparatuses to add to the look and your pictures of course! So, have no fear if you are unsure of the change, everything happens for a reason!
That being said, Global is approaching and here’s what you should expect to see and some things to keep in mind for your next upcoming festival!
Some of the most important rules are, stay safe and stay hydrated! It will be extremely hot as the event is held on an asphalt surface which reflects the heat already beating down on you. Also you will at altitude and this dehydrates people faster than they realize!
Bring empty spray bottles and hand fans of any sort to help you and your crew stay cool! Cell phone signal from the previous year was spotty so be sure to have meeting points and times with your crew while you all are getting rowdy. There will be water fill stations and other food and beverage vendors at the event to accommodate your needs.
Lastly, don’t bring any opened chapstick, cigarettes, etc. They will be confiscated and there’s no need to throw away perfectly good products you enjoy!
