Head Into Oblivion

If you’re in the Austin area, you need to be sure to check out Oblivion Access Festival! The independent festival was founded by Dusty Brooks and Dorian Domi. If you’re ready to join in on the fun, set your sights on Oblivion for additional music showcases and some killer artists! The festival returns to Austin’s Red River Cultural District for a second year, Oblivion Access kicks off June 15 and concludes June 18. Multi-venue passes and single-show tickets are on-sale now here. 

The lineup includes some of biggest death and black metal from Haunter, Trench Warfare, Noisy Neighbors and Death File Red at Valhalla Friday, June 16. Also at Valhalla, punk and techno will take over with music from Sex Pill, Future Blondes, Biproduct and Detox on Saturday, June 17. New artists have also been added to Drain’s headlining performance at Mohawk on Sunday, June 18 with the full lineup featuring: Drain, Drug Church, Magnitude, Gel, Restraining Order, Mugger and Black Mercy.

Additionally, the producers are pleased to announce the following artists added to lineups throughout the 4-day festival including members of GothBoiClique (featuring Fish Narc, Horse Head, Nedarb, JPdreamthug, Yawns), Austin’s noise rock supergroup USA/MEXICO, and KFC Murder Chicks

And they were right because the full Oblivion Access Festival lineup once again highlights Brooks and Domi’s commitment to offering music fans a highly curated bill that consists of the best in experimental, metal and hip-hop artists from around the world.

The headliners for 2023 are Faust, who are celebrating 50+ years as a band, Duster, who will perform for the first time ever in Texas, TR/ST, Clipping. and Earth, who will perform the entire album Earth 2 with special surprise guests and whose set will feature a quadraphonic sound system. Also topping the bill this year are Godflesh who will be playing their first performance in the U.S in 4 years and Tim Hecker who will be performing a special show in the Austin Central Presbyterian Church with Justin Broadrick of Godflesh’s ambient project Final, opening.  Additional notable performances for the festival’s second year include the newly reunited Yellow Swans playing together for the first time in 15 years, plus Clams Casino playing in Texas for the first time in 8 years and also a very rare performance from Giles Corey, who has never before played in Texas, will take the stage with Bing & Ruth at Elysium on Sunday.
