It’s Going To Be A Summer Smash!

Hip-hop fans in the Midwest- it’s going down in Chicagoland! Get ready to party at the SeatGeek Stadium this Friday, June 23rd to Sunday, June 25th for a three-day music event, Summer Smash!

This is one of the largest independent music festivals in North America that brought in 90,000 total attendees last year. This included fans from 29 countries and all 50 states! That is quite an accomplishment! And festival organizers are ready for another Summer Smash party- they’re bringing in the biggest in hip hop to perform for the festival’s fifth anniversary.

Ready for some stadium-filling superstars? This one is going to be one for the books, we can expect some of hip hop’s biggest names as well as emerging new artists that you will be thrilled to see.

Let’s talk about this lineup! Starting things off, Cleveland’s Kid Cudi and Atlanta-based trap-rapper Future will kick off the festival with headlining slots. Next up, is Playboi Carti. These three headlining sets will bring the heat!

Three of this year’s most viral music artists – Ice Spice, GloRilla, and Central Cee – will also soon travel to Chicago for their first-ever Summer Smash performance, while other first-time festival performers include Vince Staples, Freddie Gibbs, Luh Tyler, and Lil B.

Other notable festival acts will feature a slate of local hip-hop elite like G. Herbo and Famous Dex, among others. Several returning festival favorites like chart-topping rapper-and-punk rocker Trippie Redd, Ski Mask The Slump God, Lucki, Cordae, Rico Nasty, Lil Skies, Tee Grizzley, NLE Choppa, Lil Mosey, Yung Bans, and Zack Bia will all return to take over the festival stage after high fan demand. Plus, rappers Lil Pump and Smokepurpp will also perform a special collaborative concert together on the festival’s main stage.

Each day of the weekend will feature a very special guest performance from three-time Summer Smash performer Lil Uzi Vert, New Orleans-based rap duo $uicideboy$, and one of Chicago’s most-sought after music acts, who will be announced closer to the day of the show. 

“After we wrapped up last year’s event in such a successful manner, I know that it might be hard to repeat but our booking team really outdid themselves and delivered our best lineup to date,” said Summer Smash Festival Cofounder and SPKRBX Founder Berto Solorio. “With a bigger and better home locked in as we relocated to our new home at SeatGeek Stadium, we hope Summer Smash fans from across the globe will join us as we celebrate our fifth anniversary this summer.”

Let’s talk about those tickets! Three-day GA ($275+) and VIP ($499+) tickets are available via www.TheSummerSmash.com, in addition to single-day GA ($99) and VIP ($199) tickets. 

For the first time ever, Summer Smash will be able to offer onsite parking to thousands of festival attendees thanks to the festival’s new location at SeatGeek Stadium. Single-day parking passes start at $50+, while weekend parking passes cost $125+. Be sure to get them in advance to save the most money!

Additionally, festival organizers are introducing a Diamond ticketing option ($1,199) for festival-goers that offers one of today’s most premier music festival-going experiences with a number of exclusive amenities that include free parking, private festival entry, air-conditioned restrooms, an express line at festival merch tent with exclusive Diamond-level swag and merch gift card.

Diamond ticket-buyers also received access to a dedicated concierge, elevated viewing areas at the outdoor main stage, and an exclusive air-conditioned lounge inside the stadium offering unparalleled views of the second main stage, not to mention complimentary food and drink including a full-service bar plus lunch, dinner, and late-night snacks.

Beyond improved production, sound, and lighting, the new location of SeatGeek Stadium also offers more seating, food, and drink options, although organizers will also utilize the facilities’ expanded wifi capabilities throughout the grounds offering better connectivity for patrons, vendors, bars, and other fan activations. Plus, the new site will offer more transportation and housing options for out-of-town travelers including expanded rideshare pick-up options and improved accessibility via CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) buses and trains.
