Artist Biography

Baby Keem, aka Hykeem Carter, is a rapper/producer from Carson, California. Born in the year 2000, he didn’t start producing his own music until age 15. In 2018 he took on the name Baby Keem and released his EP Midnight. The same year, while living in Los Angeles, he co-wrote and co-produced a track on Kendrick Lamar’s Black Panther: The Album and worked on Grammy Award winner Redemption by Jay Rock. However, this wasn’t enough for Baby Keem in 2018 as he also dropped another EP Hearts and Darts and the mixtape The Sound of a Bad Habit. After more successful collaborations, he released “Durag Activity” with Travis Scott and Grammy winning song “Family Ties” with Kendrick Lamar, both in 2021. The same year Baby Keem released his debut album The Melodic Blue which reached number five on the Billboard 200.
