Artist Biography

Colony House is a indie rock outfit from Franklin, Tennessee that formed in 2009. The group started as a trio with brothers Caleb and Will Chapman (sons of CCM star Steven Curtis Chapman) on vocals/guitar and drums respectively and Scott Mills on guitar, calling themselves Caleb. In 2013, the band changed their name to Colony House in honor of an apartment complex in their hometown that all three had lived in over the years. The next year they released their debut album When I Was Younger which was followed with heavy touring for the next couple years. The band also expanded to a four piece, adding Parke Cottrell on bass. In 2017, Colony House released their second album Only the Lonely. Following this release, the band kept touring until the pandemic but never stopped releasing music. One big release to note is their live album Colony House Live, Vol. 1 which packs their live energy into a headphone experience. This year they have released the album The Cannonballers which has already made a splash with their single “Cannonballers” hitting millions of plays.
