It’s The Crypto Woodstock- FWB FEST
Who wants to head to the Crypto Woodstock? FWB is aptly titled “Crypto Woodstock” by the Washington Post and “proof that the blockchain isn’t boring” by The Face Magazine. FWB FEST is an ideas festival that brings together diverse communities of creatives, artists, programmers, and builders to discuss and showcase the future of internet culture. What a cool concept! Set on a historic arts campus in the forests of Idyllwild, CA, FWB FEST is a three day music festival and symposium of cutting-edge talks and intimate performances curated by the online community Friends With Benefits.
This August’s FWB FEST will include some of the best performances- and the lineup isn’t complete yet! Caroline Polachek, DOSS, Yves Tumor, and other notable artists will be announced soon. In addition, the festival will host a series of talks by industry experts including Are.na co-founder Charles Broskoski, culture writer Dean Kissick, journalist Taylor Lorenz, and JPG co-founder Maria Paula Fernández. FWB will also be joined by partner communities such as Boys Club, OpenSea, Uniswap, Rhizome, Are.na, and many others. Our partner programming is designed to foster a dynamic and creative environment where attendees can collectively explore all facets of internet culture. This is going to be fun!
Most performers at FWB FEST choose to share a more experimental, bespoke performance tailored to the outdoor amphitheater and serene and natural environment of Idyllwild. This creates a unique culture of appreciation at FWB FEST, which pairs well with the highly intellectual discourse and rigor surrounding the talks, experiences, and outdoor recreation.
FWB FEST takes place at the legendary Idyllwild Arts Academy, which is nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains and San Bernardino National Forest in Idyllwild, CA, and is approximately a two-hour drive east of Los Angeles. It’s just a short drive so pack those bags! Idyllwild Arts was founded in 1946 as a respite for creators to come together from around the world. The vision of its founders was to nurture a creative collective that would promote intercultural understanding and peace while re-envisioning the artist’s responsibility to society.
Capped at 1,000 attendees, the FWB FEST’s intimate size allows for participants to meaningfully engage with one another and form deep connections. Whether they’re looking to collaborate with fellow creatives, learn from experts in their field, or simply enjoy a weekend of music and culture, FWB FEST offers an unforgettable experience in an unparalleled location.
