John Summit Shocked the Bay Area at Cow Palace Arena

John Summit, the top EDM producer of 2024, performed at Cow Palace Arena and Event Center in San Francisco on Friday and Saturday, October 18th and 19th.

John Summit shocked the ravers in attendance when he came out to perform in the middle of the dance floor on a 360-rotating stage, which gave every fan, whether sitting or standing, a view of him mixing on the decks.

“I favor house music over other EDM genres because of artists like John Summit,” says the 23-year-old raver Daisy while leaving the show, “He knows how to put on a show that I can’t find with other artists or in other genres.”

Roughly 10,500 ravers were in attendance on Friday and 13,500 on Saturday, and thanks to the rotating stage, the floor was evenly disbursed with plenty of room on all sides of the arena.

John Summit played his hits ranging from 2022, like La Danza, to his newest releases from the album Comfort in Chaos

Alongside his hits, he played other house and techno hits like “Last Night” Anyma x Layton Giordani remix, and “My Gasoline” by Maddix.

From open to close, John Summit and his openers put on a memorable show that house music lovers were walking away from smiling.

We, The Festival Voice, were in attendance at John Summit’s show on Saturday and could listen to openers DWATA, AYYBO, and Dombresky, who warmed up the Cow Palace before John Summit came on. When we say they warmed it up, they did; we don’t think there was any AC where the show was performing besides in the hallways for merch, bathrooms, and drinks!

Dombresky made those in the crowd jump up and down when he mixed in songs like “Good Luck, Babe!” by Chappel Roan and the house mix of “Funky Town” by Lipps Inc. had both frat bros and moms in attendance with their 18+ child singing and dancing.

While it did say the show was ending at 2 am, John Summit announced that it was his last song at 1:38 am, finalized his show, and walked off the stage at 1:40 am.

Despite the outdoor temperatures of the Bay Area leaving the air cool after sunset, the indoor arena was warm, and the outfits people chose to wear seemed they expected this exact thing. Micro skirts and tube tops were on the feminine agenda, while the masculine attendees chose to wear basketball jerseys or other tanktops. Overall, the crowd’s vibe was mainly giving off young and hip, which is the aesthetic John Summit brings to social media.
