June 18th Weekly Roundup Feature
Hey hey, it’s June 18th and we’re back with our weekly roundup feature! Check back in with us next week!
Afinity & Casey Cook- Your Imagination
Afinity and Casey Cook team up on their new single “Your Imagination” for Lost In Dreams.
Based out of Los Angeles, Afinity is the solo project of Ahrya Far, which came to fruition after he splintered off from the former duo Pixel Terror to create lush and vibrant songs in the melodic bass and dubstep space. He’s making his debut on Lost In Dreams Records, teaming up with LA-based, Rhode Island-raised singer-songwriter Casey Cook on their new single. “Your Imagination” pays tribute to the song “Pure Imagination” performed by Gene Wilder in the original ‘Willy Wonka’ film, as Cook repurposes the hook with her saccharine vocal tones that seemingly stretch endlessly above glimmering melodies, gentle piano chords, languid guitar strums, and an ethereal drop evoking an otherworldly state akin to its source material.

Zack Keim – Maggie & Better Days
This spring, Pittsburgh-based indie-folk singer-songwriter Zack Keim shared two brand new singles entitled “Maggie” (which takes the hopeful romantic feelings that come with the start of something new and translates them into psychedelic daydream) and “Better Days” (a wistful gem that wrests melodic bliss out of pangs of nostalgia that was co-written with Matt Costa and Chad Monitcue of Animal Scream). Both singles, additionally came alongside their own accompanying music videos that expanded on their individual narratives.
