Jude Flannery- Quiet by your side

Quiet by your side is Philadelphia-based artist Jude Flannery’s solo debut. The album explores the themes of connection and expectation. Joined by primary collaborators Matt Barrick (The Walkmen, Muzz) on drums / percussion and Quentin Stoltzfus (Mazarin, Light Heat) on bass and guitar, the record has a psychedelic folk rock vibe. Additional collaborators include Robbie Bennett (The War on Drugs) on keyboards, Keir Neuringer (The Irreversible Entanglements) on saxophone, Zena Kay on pedal steel, and Annie Nero on backing vocals. The overall mix is warm and dynamic, a credit to the craft and production contributions of Barrick, who recorded and mixed the record, and Stoltzfus, who mastered the record at Philadelphia’s Silent Partner recording studio.

TAFOYA- Freedom EP

Chicago based Rock ‘n Roll band TAFOYA share their debut EP Freedom. Already a big name in Chicago and having performed all over the midwest, the EP marks the group’s first official release since forming in 2021. “Long Time Ago”, a song that Mike Tafoya calls a sort of “autobiography”, starts off with a “snake-charmer” intro that quickly unfolds into the sort of vivacious and driving classic rock sound that Mike Tafoya has been delivering for decades. Erased Dreams is the first full-length, low-tempo project from Yotto. The Helsinki-based artist is well-known for his thunderous DJ sets and deep, bass-heavy house productions, but with Erased Dreams, Yotto reveals another side to himself. 
 
The 8-track ambient album, released on Anjunadeep’s new sister label Reflections, may seem like a departure from Yotto’s usual style, but he’s always made music like this. With Reflections, he finally found a home for it.

Party Favor- Reset

Grammy-nominated artist Party Favor’s highly anticipated sophomore album ‘RESET’ is out now on Ultra Music. 

The 14-track album is an amalgamation of styles, genres and sounds, a true reset on the settings Party Favor may have been boxed into before. Opening up with a literal bang, “With Regards To Your Speakers” was written with the intention of ripping off the bandaid, and setting the tone for the whole project. Second track “Hollow” with DeathbyRomy, the producer born Dylan Ragland describes as his “very own Nine Inch Nails moment” – a sonic journey through brooding, sad, euphoric and epic feels all at once. But then “Too Much” touches on some of the first OG electro records PF had ever heard, while he describes “Spirits Pt. 2” as unadulterated rage music, and a mix of the old and new Party Favor sound. The project completes with “Anxious” – which Ragland says is “a song about saying “f*ck you” to anxiety which myself and a lot of people suffer from.”
