Let’s Rewind Back To Goldrush: Wild Card

As I look back on one of Arizona’s most anticipated festivals, Goldrush, I’m reminded of the excitement and magic that defined this year’s event. The theme, Wild Card, truly lived up to its name, bringing an energy that was as unpredictable as it was unforgettable. Although I could only attend day two, every moment was worth it—from the incredible lineup of talented artists, to the stunning new stages, the diverse vendors, and the amazing people I met along the way. This year was nothing short of spectacular, proving that even a single day at Goldrush can be an unforgettable experience.

We made an effort to arrive early so we could catch some of YDG’s set before heading over to see HEYZ. HEYZ brought such a fun and high-energy vibe that set the perfect tone for the rest of the night. When he played Country Riddim by HOL!, the crowd absolutely lost it. The energy was electric, and it definitely got me hyped and ready to carry that momentum through the night and keep the party going.

After HEYZ, we had some time before OMNOM, so we decided to explore the venue a bit. We stumbled upon a food vendor selling dumplings and spicy ramen, and of course, we had to try it. It was exactly what I needed to refuel—delicious and filling, especially since I hadn’t had time to eat before leaving. People always joke about surviving on just one chicken tender while raving, but I’m definitely not that person. I need a good meal, and dumplings and ramen are just the kind of thing I needed to keep me going all night. After enjoying our tasty food, we made our way to Coyote Cove to catch OMNOM, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the night. The warehouse stage was an experience in itself; as soon as you stepped in, you were transported into a vibrant world of lasers and incredible production, setting the perfect atmosphere for OMNOM’s set.

Next, we made our way over to catch OG NIXON—who absolutely threw down, as expected—before rushing over to BTSM, who, as always, did not disappoint. After their set, we headed back to Moonrise Mountain to catch some of Deathpact, followed by INZO b2b Mersiv. This year, we definitely found ourselves running back and forth more than usual, but with so many amazing artists on each stage, it was totally worth it. I’m glad we made the effort to bounce around and experience a bit of everything.

While every artist we saw absolutely crushed it, I’d have to say the highlight of my night was definitely INZO b2b Mersiv. The synergy between their sounds created a truly magical set, and the crowd was vibing so hard. When they closed with a remix of INZO’s Overthinker and Crazy by Gnarls Barkley, the energy hit an all-time high. It was such a beautiful moment and the perfect way to close out an unforgettable weekend.

Even though I was only able to attend Goldrush one day this year, I had such an incredible time. I’m so grateful for the amazing people I met and the memories I made, all thanks to my love for music. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next year—just like this one, I know it will be one to remember.
